THE only online bookmaker listing first-scorer prices on all SPFL games are McBookie .com.
It’s a great service they provide and we’ve teamed up with the Scots firm to look at some of the best bets from the Scottish Premiership.
Here is McBookie.com’s Damian Walker with his latest selections.
He says: “Last Saturday Rangers’ Ryan Kent provided this column with a nice 9-2 winner and hopefully I can do even better this weekend.
“Kent and his Rangers team have made a great start to the new season but face probably their toughest domestic test this campaign with a trip to Easter Road in the noon kick-off on Sunday.
“Rangers have returned to their excellent 2019-20 season form before the winter break ended all that, but they could well be vulnerable to Hibernian in the early stages of this game.
Whilst Rangers won’t have been taxed in their trip to Gibraltar on Thursday night, this early-Sunday kick-off gives them precious little preparation and recovery time.
“It is amazing how many times foreign midweek trips lead to a below-par performances at the weekend.
“Hibs boss Jack Ross, on the other hand, will have had all the time in the world to plot his strategy against Rangers. While the visitors might still come away with the points 11-2 about Hibs looks too big.
“Striker Kevin Nisbet has hot the ground running since joining the Easter Road outfit and after last month’s hat-trick against Livingston he scored the opener in the 3-0 win over St Mirren last weekend.
“Nisbet is 9-1 with McBookie to score the opening goal against Rangers and finally breach their defence.
“The second selection is St Mirren who are away to Dundee United and kept Celtic down to just a single-goal deficit in midweek, albeit with Odsonne Edouard missing a penalty.
“I don’t see Dundee United as 23-20 favourites for this game as that seems extremely short.
“St Mirren’s Jon Obika has already been successful in this column twice this season and hopefully he can score the game’s first goal at 5-1 with McBookie.
“The final selection is a stab at a bit of value on a player who has really hit the ground running since joining Celtic on loan from Brighton.
“Shane Duffy has scored back-to-back goals for Celtic and will be a handful for all opposing defences at set-pieces.
“Where he might have had the odd chance or two in a game playing for Brighton in the Premier League, Duffy seems certain to have a couple of gilt-egded chances when lining up against the weaker sides in the Premiership.
“And with Celtic 1-9 for the visit of Livingston, Duffy might just be a bit of value at 14-1 with McBookie to open the scoring.”
