IT'S looking like it will be a long, long season for Edinburgh City and COVE RANGERS can add to their gloom when they travel to the capital.
The Meadowbank side sit bottom of League One after six games and this season has been an unmitigated disaster so far for them.
Last week's 5-2 loss at Montrose was their 11th defeat in a row this season in the league, Viaplay Cup and Challenge Cup.
It's a horror show made even worse by the amount of goals they are shipping too. Only once have they conceded just one goal in that run. and they've lost nine goals in their last two games.
Cove Rangers haven't quite set the heather on fire after their relegation last season, but they really should have far too much for the beleaguered City and 17/20 seems a very backable price for the Aberdeen side.
RAITH ROVERS are proudly flying high at the top of the Championship and they can continue on their winning ways by taking three points at Airdrie.
The Kirkcaldy men left it very late indeed last week before scoring the winner against Caley Thistle which ultimately cost ICT boss Billy Dodds his job.
But they keep getting the job done and that was their fourth win in a row in all competitions. They've also kept three clean sheets in that four-game spell.
Airdrie started their Championship campaign well after their surprise promotion last year, but the wheels have started to come off recently.
They lost 2-0 at Dundee United which was no disgrace but crashed to a 4-0 annihilation at Arbroath last week at Gayfield.
Rovers can be backed at 11/8 to win in Lanarkshire and that looks a fair price for the consistent Fifers.
MONTROSE have improved significantly recently and look solid favourites at 11/10 to beat Stirling Albion at Links Park.
As stated, Montrose put five past Edinburgh City last week, but more impressive was their previous league game where they won 3-2 in Dumfries against Queen of the South.
Stirling were surprise packages when they came into League One, but they were turned over at fellow-promoted side Annan Athletic last week and don't seem to be at their best on the road.
And the hosts can go above Stirling with a win on Saturday.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
COVE RANGERS 17/20
RAITH ROVERS 11/8
MONTROSE 11/10.
