THE knockout stages get underway at Euro 2024 today and hosts Germany will be looking to keep the party going by knocking out Denmark.
After crushing Scotland 5-1 in their opener, the Germans have failed to hit the same heights and needed a late goal to salvage a 1-1 draw with the Swiss in their final game.
But roared on by a massive crowd in Dortmund they will be confident of marching into the quarter-finals with a victory over the Danes.
Kasper Hjulmand's side are unbeaten so far though and will be a tough side to break down, having already held England to a 1-1 draw in the groups.
Germany v Denmark Top Betting Tips
The Danes have scored just twice so far at Euro 2024 but Germany have only kept one clean sheet and have problems in defence with Jonathan Tah injured and Antonio Rudiger a fitness doubt.
That makes me think BTTS stands a chance at evens with Betfred while over 2.5 goals also appeals at the same price.
Spurs midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has netted five times for Denmark this season so the 3/1 available for him just to have an effort on target here looks decent value.
Switzerland vs Italy Top Tips
The last 16 action gets underway with European champions Italy putting their trophy on the line against a dangerous Swiss side.
Switzerland were unbeaten in Group A while the Italians needed a last-gasp strike against Croatia to avoid slumping to back-to-back defeats.
The Azzurri haven't convinced so far so there could be some value in backing Switzerland to reach the quarter-finals at 11/10.
It should be a tight game and the half-time draw appeals at 9/10 while BTTS also looks decent value at 11/10 given Switzerland have netted in every game so far.
Argentina v Peru Top Tips
The group stage is coming to an end at the Copa America and champions Argentina could rest a few players against Peru with a quarter-final slot already in the bag.
The Argentines have been steady rather than spectacular so far, seeing off Canada 2-0 then beating Chile by a single strike. Another win to nil against the Peruvians pays 21/20.
Lautaro Martinez has scored twice off the bench so I'd imagine he'll start tonight and the Inter Milan star is 6/4 for anytime scorer.
Canada vs Chile Top Tips
Canada's 1-0 win over Peru on matchday two has left them in good shape to qualify and a point against Chile tonight should take them through.
The Chileans have been a big disappointment so far and haven't even managed to score a goal. A second successive 0-0 draw looked likely until Argentina bagged a late winner and that has left them needing a win in the final group game.
With Chile needing to go for it this should be a better watch than their first two games and BTTS pays evens.
I'd imagine it will be tense and tight so the half-time draw also appeals here at the same price.
