JURGEN KLOPP'S new-look Liverpool side have made a promising start to the Premier League campaign and will be looking to hit the ground running after the international break with another victory away to struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After missing out on the top four last season and ending the campaign without any silverware, Klopp decided to revamp his entire midfield and the initial signs are positive, with three wins and a draw in their first four Premier League outings.
They've already emerged unscathed from tricky trips to Stamford Bridge and St James' Park, with that 2-1 victory over Newcastle showing the spirit in the Liverpool squad as they came from behind to win despite playing with 10 men.
Now the Reds face another road trip as they bid to pile on the pain for Wolves, who look destined for a fight against relegation based on the first few weeks of the season.
Julen Lopetegui played a key role in keeping the Molineux club up last term but moved on in the summer after learning he wouldn't be backed financially in the transfer market.
Former Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil took over and within weeks had to deal with star midfielder Matheus Nunez going on strike to force through a move to Manchester City.
O'Neil defied the odds to keep the Cherries up last term and performances have mostly been decent with Wolves so far, especially in their opening 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford when the officials wrongly denied them a late penalty, much to the relief of our man Slips Tips.
But it points that count in the battle for survival and Wolverhampton Wanderers only have three so far after beating Everton at Goodison. If O'Neil wants to start moving clear of the drop zone he will have to start putting more victories on the board.
How the bookies view it
Liverpool's impressive start to the season makes them red-hot favourites for this one at a best 4/9 with BetUK. Wolverhampton Wanderers are as big as 31/5 at VBet while the draw pays 21/5 at BetUK.
Recent head to head
Liverpool have dominated this fixture in recent seasons, winning nine of the last 11 meetings and losing just once. But that defeat came on their last visit to Molineux as the Reds crashed to a 3-0 defeat in the Premier League. Liverpool won the Anfield return and also knocked Wolves out of the FA Cup at Molineux in a replay after a 2-2 draw in Merseyside.
Players to watch
Liverpool are often vulnerable down the right side of their defence so O'Neil will be looking for winger Pedro Neto to make an impact. The Portuguese has yet to get off the mark this season and is 15/2 at Unibet to break his duck. An assist is probably more likely but I've yet to see any prices for that market.
Liverpool always look more dangerous with Darwin Nunez as the focal point of their attack and his double at Newcastle earned him a start in the win over Aston Villa before the international break. The Uruguayan is 13/10 at Bet365 for anytime scorer at Molineux.
Anything else catch the eye?
This is a game that promises a few thrills with Liverpool always set up to attack and the last two Wolves games producing five goals apiece. I fancy both teams to score but the odds aren't great at a best 4/6 (Bet365) while over 2.5 goals is even shorter at 1/2 (William Hill). Over 1.5 first-half goals has come up in three of Liverpool's four games this term so that looks worth a punt at 5/4 with Coral.
Backing over 3.5 Wolves shots on target paid off for me in their loss at Crystal Palace and Liverpool usually give the opposition a few chances due to their open style of play. Bet365 are offering 11/10 on the teams producing over 9.5 shots on target for this one and that looks decent value.
Veteran Wolves stopper Craig Dawson has picked up two yellows in his four outings this term so it could pay to back him for another card here at 7/2 with Bet365.
