WOLVES and Crystal Palace look to be safe enough in terms of their standings in the Premier League, but the bottom half is so congested just one defeat could send you into a relegation dogfight tailspin.
The sides meet on Tuesday with the Molineux outfit currently six points clear of the drop and Palace nine ahead with both having six games left.
On the face of it they both should survive, but nothing is ever straightforward at this stage of the season and defeat for either may cause doubts to form.
Both can take varying degrees of confidence going into this. Wolves had chalked up a couple of vital wins against Chelsea and Brentford at Molineux without conceding a goal.
But they blew a lead at the King Power in a huge win for Leicester City at the weekend.
Palace have been resurrected under the second coming of 75-year-old Roy Hodgson and their three wins in a row over Leicester, Leeds United and Southampton surely proved they made the correct decision to bring him back to south London.
But they were frustrated at the weekend in a goalless draw against Everton.
How the bookies view it
Wolves are solid favourites here at 5/4 with Coral, while Crystal Palace are outsiders at 23/10 with bet365. The draw is 9/4 with 10bet.
Recent head to heads
Palace got the better of Wolves at Selhurst Park this season in a 2-1 win back in October.
In fact, the Eagles won both games last season too and have won four in a row in this fixture, with Wolves only scoring once in that time too.
Players to watch
Diego Costa finally got off the mark for Wolves at the 19th time of asking in their recent win over Brentford and the 34-year-old will be hoping to build on that. He is 22/5 with UniBet to score anytime.
Eberechi Eze has been in excellent form for Palace recently after scoring a double against Leeds and he followed that up with a goal against Southampton. He is on seven goals for the season and is 6/1 to score anytime with UniBet.
Anything else catch the eye?
Palace look far too big here and are begging to be backed at an agreeable price.
They took apart Leeds and Southampton on their last two away trips and with the confidence Hodgson has built in his squad, they can get the win.
Palace have a very decent record on the road – they are in the top half of the table on away form. Wolves have seen the likes of Leeds United and Bournemouth win recently at Molineux.
Wolves have a curious record too at Molineux. In their last 12 home games in all competitions, 11 of them have seen only one team score. So the obvious choice is both teams to score: No at 5/6 with BetVictor.
