WATFORD are making a real push for a return to the top flight and their outstanding home record should see them pick up another three points.
Xisco Munoz's men are in fine form and have turned Vicarage Road into a real fortress this season, having won ten of their 13 home league games and lost just once.
It's why they are odds-on favourites with bookies, who expect them to make light work of Rangers who are hovering dangerously close just above the relegation zone.
Watford have four out of six of their last league games and Munoz was happy enough with their midweek goalless draw at the New Den against Millwall – a game which they dominated.
After a dismal run of ten games in all competitions without a win, QPR picked up two impressive away wins at Luton Town and Cardiff City before losing at Derby County.
How the bookies view it
Watford are very strong favourites at a best-priced 4/5 and are shorter in plenty of places. Mark Warburton's underdogs are 4/1 with Hill's and Unibet, with the draw a best-priced 11/4.
That's understandable given the respective positions of the clubs and with the Hornets making a push for automatic promotion.
Recent head to head
The sides met earlier this season at Loftus Road and it finished in a 1-1 draw with the hosts' Ilias Chair, who has just signed a new long-term contract, cancelling out Ben Wilmot's early strike.
It's the first time the clubs have been in the same league for seven years although they did meet in an FA Cup tie two years ago which Watford won
QPR haven't won at Vicarage Road for ten years, but that can easily be ignored as they have only visited once since that win in 2011.
Players to watch
Troy Deeney and Joao Pedro are the top scorers for Watford this season with six league goals each. Deeney is 32 now, but is a Hornets legend with 130 league goals for the club and is 13/10 generally to score anytime. You can get 17/10 for Pedro to score, although he was a sub in the last game.
For QPR, Scotland fans know all about Lyndon Dykes and his qualification heroics, but he's only scored one single goal for the visitors this season that wasn't from the penalty spot. He's generally 7/2 if you fancy him to change that.
Anything else catch the eye?
QPR have seen under 2.5 goals for their last 11 games in a row. With Watford worthy favourites, the 19/10 on offer for a Watford win and under 2.5 goals appeals.
The 5/6 for under 2.5 goals on its own appeals too. It's unlikely to be a goals fest.
