Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea
English Premier League, KO: 16:30 Sep 19, 2021, Tottenham Hotspur StadiumA HEAVYWEIGHT London derby on Sunday sees Chelsea travel to face Spurs in a fixture that's usually very tasty indeed.
Both sides have won three out of their four opening league games, but Tottenham's defeat with ten men at Crystal Palace ended their unbeaten record, with Chelsea managing to eke out a point when they were reduced to ten men when they played at Liverpool.
A fascinating side plot is the Harry Kane v Romelu Lukaku battle with two of the world's best strikers going head to head in North London.
The Belgian international has hit the ground running on his return to English football while Kane has settled down after a summer of uncertainty and has pledged his immediate future to Spurs.
Both sides were in continental midweek action with Chelsea enjoying two more days to rest than the hosts. They edged past a spirited Zenit St Petersburg side 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, while a much-changed Spurs side drew 2-2 against Rennes in France in the Europa Conference League.
So it's all set for what is usually an intriguing encounter.
How the bookies view it
Chelsea are the clear favourites here and are odds-on everywhere. The best price is the 16/19 on offer from SBK. The draw is 11/4 and Tottenham can be backed at a big 19/5 price with SBK again.
Recent head to heads
A Jorginho penalty condemned Spurs to defeat at home last season in their last fixture which Chelsea won 1-0, a seen below. The other game was a goalless draw in West London. Spurs haven't defeated Chelsea in the last seven fixtures between the clubs.
Players to watch
It's the Kane v Lukaku show. The Spurs man has scored four goals so far this season – three for Englan and one for his club in Europe, but has yet to open his Premier League account. Kane is 12/5 to score anytime with Unibet and that's begging to be backed if you think Spurs will score.
Lukaku is on fire this season with seven goals in just six games for club and country, including the midweek winner against Zenit. He will be popular at 6/5 with Unibet to score on Sunday.
Anything else catch the eye?
Chelsea are rightly favourites, but they look far too short to be backing at odds-on in what will be a frenzied atmosphere. Given the attacking prowess on offer, the both teams to score at odds-against with 11/10 at 10Bet looks a far safer investment.
Spurs have already defeated Manchester City at home and while they may give up possession, they look too big here. The 11/10 with SportNation on the double chance has a real chance.
There's rarely any love lost here and a safe option would be bet365's Betbuilder of over 1.5 goals and over 2.5 cards at 5/4.
