Napoli continue their steady march towards the Serie A title as they travel to Torino for a fixture on Sunday.
Torino head into Sunday’s clash off the back of a 2-0 victory at Lecce last time out in Serie A. Both goals came early in the contest with Wilfried Singo opening the scoring while Antonio Sanabria added the second.
That was the second straight win for Torino, who also claimed a 1-0 victory over Bologna in their previous fixture. Ivan Juric’s men appear to be playing themselves into European contention as they sit just five points off the top six.
One thing that will give Torino confidence as they head into Sunday’s clash is their recent home form. The Turin club have lost just once in their last seven Serie A matches, claiming four wins in that run.
Napoli appear to have fully moved on from the defeat to Lazio having won their last two matches. First, they claimed a 2-0 victory over Atalanta in their previous Serie A fixture before picking up a 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League round of 16.
The visitors are still the team to beat in Italy as they are 18 points clear at the top of Serie A. They have won nine of their last 10 matches across all competitions, keeping eight clean sheets in that run.
Napoli have also impressed on their recent travels and are currently on a six match winning run away from home. That run has been driven by a solid defence which has kept clean sheets in all six matches.
How the bookies view it
Napoli are considered overwhelming favourites among the bookies with a win priced at 9/11 by SBK. A victory for Torino is valued at 4/1 by Paddy Power while a draw is set at odds of 5/2 by William Hill.
Recent head to head
Napoli often come out on top in this fixture and have won four of the last five matches with Torino. Partenopei claimed a 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture back in October and also picked up a 1-0 win on their last visit to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Players to watch
Victor Osimhen failed to add to his 19 Serie A goals last time out against Lazio but scored a brace in Napoli’s Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday. Bet365 has the striker at odds of 6/4 to find the net on Sunday.
Napoli have also been impressive at the other end of the pitch thanks to the exploits of central-defensive partners Kim Min-Jae and Amir Rrahmani. Both men can ensure the Neapolitans keep their seventh straight clean sheet on the road at 6/5 with bet365.
Anything else catch the eye?
Napoli earned a comfortable win in the reverse fixture and can be backed in the –1 handicap market at 12/5 with BetVictor. The visitors have won to nil in their last six away matches and could be set for a repeat at 15/8 with BetVictor.
Napoli scored in both halves in the Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt and Sunday’s clash could be tipped to follow a similar pattern at 9/4 with bet365.
