SHEFFIELD UNITED have looked more like their old selves of late but will need to be on top form to take anything from Wolves as both sides chase European places.
The Blades lacked a cutting edge after coming out of lockdown, drawing a blank in their first three games, but head into this clash after beating Spurs 3-1 and claiming a decent point at Burnley.
That has kept them in a Europa League slot and they now sit just four points behind sixth-placed Wolves after Nuno Espirito Santo's men lost 2-0 at home to Arsenal.
It was the Molineux side's first domestic loss since a 2-1 defeat to leaders Liverpool way back in January, summing up their impressive run of results.
I fancied Wolves to beat the Gunners at the weekend but they lacked punch up front and drew a blank for the only the second time in their last 10 matches.
They will be desperate to bounce back with a Bramall Lane win so they can keep their faint hopes of a Champions League slot alive and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
How the bookies view it
Wolves are the favourites at 11/10 with most firms while Sheffield United's best price is 16/5 with Unibet. The draw is 11/5 with the same firm and can't be discounted but I fancy the Molineux side to edge this.
Recent head to head
Wolves have only lost once in their last eight games with Sheffield United, winning four of those matches. But that defeat came on their last visit to Bramall Lane in 2017, with the Blades winning 2-0 (below) when both teams were still in the Championship.
Players to watch
Raul Jimenez has drawn a blank in his last two games for Wolves but remains their main goal threat. The Mexican is 17/10 with 888Sport in the anytime scorer market which is a decent price.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is continuing to rotate his strikers so it's unclear who will start up top for them. Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge has six for the season and is a generous 14/1 with Paddy Power for another goal here.
Anything else catch the eye?
My corners tip for Sheffield United's trip to Turf Moor was scuppered when Burnley failed to win a single one in the first half. But the Blades still racked up nine across the 90 minutes and I will dabble in that market again.
Wilder's side are 7/5 with Unibet to win the most corners and that looks great value as Wolves have only won five corners in their last two matches combined.
There have been exactly two goals in five of the last six meetings of these sides and a repeat here pays 12/5 at Bet365.
