Servette vs Roma

, KO: 20:00 Nov 30, 2023, Stade de Geneve
Roma

Roma will be looking to secure a place in the knockout stage of the Europa League as they travel to Servette for their penultimate group G fixture. Having been dominant in the first meeting, the Italians will be confident of doing the double over their Swiss hosts.

Servette were victorious last time out in the Europa League as they triumphed 2-1 over Sherriff Tiraspol. They fought back from a goal down with second efforts from Steve Rouiller and Chris Bedia earning them the win.

That was the first win in Group G for Servette, who are still looking set to slip into the Europa League. Among their previous results in the competition is a 4-0 defeat to Roma back in October.

Beyond the Europa League, Servette will head into Thursday’s clash with plenty of confidence as they are unbeaten in their last nine matches, claiming seven wins in that run. Rene Weiler’s men are unbeaten their last six home matches, picking up five wins in that run
Roma suffered their first defeat in this season’s Europa League as they were beaten 2-0 by Slavia Prague last time out. They struggled to find the cutting edge in attack and finished with just two attempts on target throughout the contest.

Despite that defeat, Roma still remain well on course to progress to the knockout out stage having won their previous three fixtures. Jose Mourinho’s men only need a point in Thursday's clash to progress, although a win will put them in a great position to finish top.

Roma’s overall form has not been particularly impressive in recent weeks, although they have picked up two wins and a draw from their last three matches. The Giallorossi travel to Servette off the back of a 3-1 victory over Udinese in a Serie A fixture last weekend.

How the bookies view it

Roma have the upper hand among the bookies and are priced 17/20 by Coral to claim the win. A victory for Servette is valued at 3/1 by BetVictor while a draw is set at odds of 52/20 by 10bet.

Head to head
