Real Madrid will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten record this season as they host Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday. Sevilla are still trying to find their rhythm this term and should struggle at the home of the champions.
Real Madrid are unbeaten across all competitions and have opened up a three-point lead at the top of La Liga.
Los Blancos showed their superiority over their closest challengers as they claimed a 3-1 victory over Barcelona in the El-Clasico. They followed that with a 3-0 victory at Elche in midweek with Karim Benzema scoring in both games.
Real Madrid have also been excellent at home in recent times with just one defeat in their last 33 La Liga matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, a run stretching back to 2021. Carlo Ancelotti’s men have also been comfortable at home lately with a 4-1 win over Mallorca preceding their victory over Barcelona.
It has been a rough season for Sevilla so far, but they appear to be slowly get things back on track in recent weeks having lost just once in their last five La Liga matches. However, they have also claimed only one win in that run and remain dangerously close to the bottom three.
Sevilla are coming off a 1-1 draw with Valencia in their previous La Liga fixture. They fell behind early in the first half and were made to labour for much of the contest before Erik Lamela struck the equaliser four minutes from time.
Despite their problems, Sevilla will head to Madrid with some confidence given their record on their recent travels. Jorge Sampaoli’s men have claimed two wins and a draw from their last three away matches in La Liga.

Players to watch
Newly crowned Ballon D’Or winner Karim Benzema will be the one to watch for Real Madrid having scored in his last two La Liga matches. The French striker was also on target in both fixtures against Sevilla last season and is priced at 8/11 by bet365 to find the net on Saturday.
Sevilla have not been particularly prolific this season but Erik Lamela could be worth keeping an eye on after netting his first goal of the season last time out. The attacker was also on target in the last meeting with Real Madrid and is priced at 13/2 by bet365 to find the net on Monday.
Anything else catch the eye?
There have been over 3.5 goals in two of the last three meetings between Real Madrid and Sevilla and a repeat could be on the cards at 29/20 with Unibet. Over 2.5 goals can also be considered at 6/10 with William Hill while SBK is offering 8/9 on both teams to score.
With Madrid priced at minimal odds for a straight victory, a win and both teams to score could provide more value at 19/10 with William Hill. Madrid have also scored in both halves in their last two matches and Saturday’s clash could be tipped to follow a similar pattern at 11/10 with Unibet.
