IT has been hard to predict what version of Liverpool will turn up this season but Nottingham Forest will be hoping the Anfield giants have another off day as they bid to plunder some precious points in their Premier League survival bid.
Jurgen Klopp's side were back to their brilliant best at Elland Road on Monday, smashing six past Leeds to end a worrying run of five games without a win in all competitions.
It brought back memories of their 7-0 demolition job against Manchester United, a match that brought up a full house of tips for me, and the 7-1 battering they dished out to Rangers in the Champions League group stage.
But Liverpool have also suffered defeats to the likes of Forest, Bournemouth, Brentford and Wolves this season and that inconsistency is the reason why they find themselves languishing in eighth place.
They trail fourth-placed Newcastle by nine points so will probably need to win all of their remaining games to stand a chance of booking a Champions League slot for next term.
For Nottingham Forest, it's all about survival as they bid to climb out of the drop zone in their final seven matches. Steve Cooper's side have hit a slump at the worst time, with a 2-0 loss to Manchester United last time out making it 10 games without a victory.
Only goal difference is keeping them in the bottom three, so all hope is not lost. But Forest need to start putting some points on the board to avoid being cut adrift and condemned to an instant return to the Championship.
How the bookies view it
Nottingham Forest have been written off at 18/1 with Unibet while Liverpool's best price is a tiny 2/11 at BetUK. The draw pays 7/1 with SkyBet.
Recent head to head
Cooper's side claimed a famous 1-0 win at the City Ground earlier in the season as Taiwo Awoniyi grabbed the winner. That avenged a 1-0 loss to the Anfield giants at the same ground last season in the FA Cup. Nottingham Forest haven't been to Anfield since 1998, when Michael Owen grabbed four goals in a 5-1 victory for the Reds.
Players to watch
Klopp may be tempted to freshen things up with a midweek trip to West Ham on the horizon. Darwin Nunez scored off the bench in Leeds and the striker is 21/20 with Bet365 to grab another goal here.
Brennan Johnson remains Nottingham Forest's brightest spark and the Wales winger will fancy his chances against Trent Alexander-Arnold. Johnson is 6/1 with SportingIndex for anytime scorer and a whopping 10/1 with SkyBet for an assist.
Anything else catch the eye?
Goals are usually guaranteed with Liverpool and three of their last four games have seen over 3.5 strikes. That bet pays 59/50 with BetUK for this one while over 2.5 Liverpool goals is 4/5 at Betfred. I'm more drawn to the 6/5 at Ladbrokes for over 1.5 first-half strikes.
Danilo was a bit of a hot-head for Palmeiras before his move to Forest in January, picking up two reds and six yellows earlier this season. He has only collected one card in the Premier League but could add another here and is 7/2 at Bet365 to fall foul of the referee.
Liverpool won 11-2 on the corner count when they lost at the City Ground in October so it could pay to back them in that handicap at Anfield. BetVictor price Liverpool -4 at a tempting 11/10.
