Fulham vs Everton

, KO: 19:45 Jan 30, 2024, Craven Cottage
Everton

Fulham and Everton square off in a midweek Premier League fixture with both teams looking to bounce back from FA Cup exits last weekend. The Cottagers often seem to come up with the goods on home soil and should have the upper hand over Everton, who have found things difficult on their recent travels.

Fulham were knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United. The much changed Cottagers looked lively for much of the contest but struggled to find the cutting edge in attack.

That defeat is part of a recent poor run of results for Fulham, who are winless in their last four matches across all competitions. Marco Silva’s men will be keen to get their campaign back on track as they look to make a push for a top half finish.

The good news for Fulham is that they have done some good work at Craven Cottage in recent weeks. They have won four of their last five Premier League home matches and claimed a 2-1 victory over Arsenal in their previous fixture in front of their fans.

Everton are also looking to bounce back from an FA Cup defeat after losing 2-1 at home to Luton Town last weekend. The game appeared to be heading for a replay following Jack Harrison’s second half equaliser but they went on to concede a late winner.

The Toffees appear to have lost their way again in recent times having picked up just one win from their last eight matches across all competitions. They have been slipping down the table and are now just one point above the relegation zone.

Although Everton have shown a penchant for winning on the road this season, they have found things difficult on their recent travels. Sean Dyche’s men have lost their last two away matches and were beaten 3-0 by Wolves in their previous fixture on the road.

How the bookies view it

Fulham have the upper hand among the bookies and are priced at 7/5 by BetVictor to claim the win. A victory for Everton is valued at 41/20 by Unibet, who is also offering odds of 49/20 for a draw.

Recent head to head

Fulham have gotten the better of Everton in recent meetings as they are unbeaten in the last five matches. They have claimed three wins in that run, including a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in August while also knocking out the Toffees of the League Cup.

Players to watch

Raul Jimenez has rediscovered his scoring touch with four goals in the last five Premier League matches. The striker could be worth keeping an eye on to score anytime at 5/2 with BoyleSports.

With top scorer Abdoulaye Doucoure side-lined with injury, Everton will look to Dominic Calvert-Lewin to provide the goods in attack. The striker is often the furthest player forward for Everton and is priced at 13/5 by bet365 to find the net on Tuesday.

Anything else catch the eye?

Neither team has shown much defensive solidity lately and they could be backed to score at 3/4 with bet365. Fulham saw over 2.5 goals in their previous Premier League home fixture and a repeat is priced at evens with bet365 while Paddy Power is offering 23/10 for over 3.5 goals.

Fulham have opened the scoring in the last three meetings with Everton and could be backed to grab the first goal at 20/21 with BoyleSports.
