Everton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

, KO: 14:00 Mar 13, 2022, Goodison Park
Wolverhampton Wanderers

With the threat of relegation looming large, Everton are face a crucial clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in the Premier League at Goodison Park.

Everton were at Tottenham Hotspur in their previous Premier League fixture where they suffered a disappointing 5-0 defeat. It was arguably their worst performance of the season as they continue to fight to avoid getting sucked into the relegation zone.

It has been a generally difficult campaign for Everton who despite appointing former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, are just two points above the bottom three.

One positive for Everton is they seem to do some of their best work at Goodison Park. They have won three of their last four home matches across all competitions and will be looking for a repeat of their performance in the 3-0 victory over Leeds United.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were in rampant mood in midweek as they claimed a 4-0 victory over troubled Watford. Raul Jimenez opened the scoring early in the first half while Daniel Podence and Ruben Neves were also on target.

That was a much-needed win for Wolves as it ended a run of three straight Premier League defeats. The result also kept them in the mix for a European finish as they sit eighth on the table, four points behind fifth place Manchester United.

A slight problem for Wolves heading into Sunday’s clash is their recent record on their travels. They have lost their last two Premier League away matches and were beaten 1-0 by West Ham in their previous fixture on the road.

Raul Jimenez ended a mini drought on Thursday with his goal against Watford and will be looking to go on a scoring run. The striker remains the biggest threat for Wolves and is priced at 17/6 by Vbet to find the net on Sunday.
