LEICESTER'S impressive season is in danger of fizzling out and the Foxes need to get a result against Everton to stay on track for a place in the Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers' side were wobbling a bit before the coronavirus lockdown and their form since returning to action has been poor, with Leicester yet to claim a victory.
They threw away a win in the dying seconds against Watford then only avoided defeat against Brighton in their next game thanks to a Kasper Schemichel penalty save.
Chelsea then came calling in the FA Cup and claimed a 1-0 win that brought up my weekend Super Single and ended Leicester's hopes of lifting the trophy for the first time.
With in-form Manchester United and Wolves now within striking distance of the Foxes, they could end up losing their place in the top four if they can't click back into gear.
And Rodgers' men won't find it easy against an Everton side who haven't conceded a goal in their two games since returning to action.
I thought Liverpool would have too much firepower for the Toffees in the derby but they held firm to grind out a stalemate then followed it up with a 1-0 win at struggling Norwich.
Carlo Ancelotti has made Everton much harder to beat so Leicester will need to up their game dramatically to end their slump.
How the bookies view it
The bookies are sitting on the fence for this one, with Everton 6/4 with most firms and Leicester just a little bigger at 7/4 with Bet365. The draw is 23/10 with Bet365 and that will attract interest. I'm staying clear of this market but if pushed would go for a stalemate.
Recent head to head
Leicester are unbeaten in their last three games against Everton, including a shoot-out triumph at Goodison in this season's League Cup after a 2-2 thriller (below).
They also won 1-0 on Merseyside in this fixture last season thanks to Jamie Vardy's winner but Everton won the two Premier League games at Goodison before that.
Players to watch
Everton's forwards have drawn a blank in their last three games but Richarlison is always capable of moments of magic. The Brazilian is 43/20 with Unibet for anytime scorer and that looks decent value.
Jamie Vardy has been stuck on 99 Premier League goals since netting a double against Aston Villa in the last game before lockdown. The Leicester striker is 33/20 with 888Sport to bring up the century at Goodison.
Anything else catch the eye?
Everton's results since the Premier League return and Leicester's troubles in front of goal suggest this won't be a classic. Under 2.5 goals is 8/11 at Coral while the odds increase to 12/5 with Bet365 for Under 1.5 strikes.
So many games have been level at the break since English football's return and a repeat here pays 15/13 with Sportnation.
