ACCRINGTON STANLEY are one of the great names in English football and they earned the right to have a crack at Premier League Leeds United on Saturday in the FA Cup this week.
It took the League One side two attempts and extra time to get the better of mid-table National League side Boreham Wood on Tuesday sealing their progression following a 1-1 draw Hertfordshire.
Their reward is a live televised fourth round clash against Leeds United at what will be a sold-out Crown Ground or Wham Stadium as it's called.
Accrington have punched above their weight for years in the third tier of English football and are managed by John Coleman, who has now been in charge for a combined total of 22 years in his two spells in charge.
He's worked miracles keeping them in League One since 2018 and will relish their tie against Leeds, who face a relegation battle of their own under Jesse Marsch.
Leeds are overdue a FA Cup run – they have a dreadful record. They haven't even reached the quarter-finals since 2003 and a final since 1973 and the glory days of Don Revie.
