Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Ollie Watkins to Score or Assist
Ollie Watkins has been the scourge of Newcastle in recent years, and he looks well placed to heap more misery on the Magpies this weekend.
The Aston Villa attacker has racked up a combined total of four strikes across his previous three appearances against Newcastle at Villa Park.
It’s also worth noting that Watkins has chipped in with two assists against the Toon across that three-game sample.
On top of all that, Watkins should come into the new campaign brimming with confidence after enjoying a five-game scoring run in pre-season, as well as registering one assist for good measure.
Jarrod Bowen to Score or Assist
A lot of West Ham's hopes for the new season will rest on the shoulders of Jarrod Bowen.
Often overlooked and criminally underrated, the West Ham skipper continues to come up trumps for his team season after season.
Bowen’s form was one of the few silver linings in an otherwise disappointing season for the Hammers last term, with the England international posting a quietly impressive return of 13 goals and 10 assists across his 34 Premier League appearances.
Moreover, Bowen either scored or turned provider in eight of his final 12 top-flight outings last term, making him worthy of support to repeat the trick against newly-promoted Sunderland on Saturday.
Erling Haaland to Score Anytime
Given his phenomenal goalscoring record against Wolves, an Erling Haaland goal has to be on the menu at a backable price this weekend.
The Man City goal machine has plundered in eight goals across his previous five appearances against the Old Gold, including a pair of hat-tricks.
Haaland will be backed up by a stellar support cast that could include Omar Marmoush and Ryan Cherki on Saturday evening, so he is unlikely to be starved of service.
That doesn't bode well for a Wolves side that appears weaker on paper compared to their last campaign, where they failed to keep a clean sheet in 30 of their 38 top-flight tussles.
Cole Palmer to Score or Assist
Cole Palmer was back to his brilliant best for Chelsea at the Club World Cup earlier this summer.
The Blues star man lit up the final against PSG last month, scoring two goals and providing one assist in what was a sensational individual first-half performance,
That man of the match display coupled with his showings in the previous rounds saw Palmer crowned the player of the tournament.
Therefore Palmer should be purring with confidence ahead of Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace – a side he scored against at Stamford Bridge in last season's corresponding fixture.
