Panama v Tunisia
Live on ITV 4. Kick-off 7pm
OF all the games, in all the World Cups, I have the privilige of trying to find some betting value in Panama v Tunisia – thanks Mr Fixit! :)
It's hard to know what to make of these two teams, who unsurprisingly have zero points after matches against England and Belgium. Tunisia certainly made life a lot tougher for England than Panama did and I thought they'd be shorter than 17/20 given how desperate Panama looked when they were routed by Gareth Sothgate's men.
They've conceded 9 goals in their two matches but curiously they had far fewer shots against them in their matches against Belgium and Panama than Tunisia did. Tunisia haven't fared much better, conceding seven so far, but they matched Belgium for possession and it took an injury-time winner from Harry Kane to give England all three points against them.
It's also worth pointing out that Panama picked up eight bookings in their two matches, an impressive tally in a tournament where referees seem reluctant to brandish their cards.
Ranked 55th in the world there's nothing to justify getting on board with Panama, especially at 7/2. Tunisia are worth a Super Single shot at 17/20 and if you want to eek out a bit more value you could take them -1 on the Asian Handicap at 2.375 (gets your money back if they only win by one goal).
Tunisian penalty-taker Sassi looks as good a bet as anyone to net in the match at 9/1.
