IT'S been a strange weekend – with a fab Friday followed by a sorry Saturday and then a super Sunday.
Sassuolo brought up the Super Single with their first win of the season and they were 6-4 to beat Bologna.
But better still was my both to score/over 2.5 goals fourfold that paid 7-1 thanks to over 2.5 goals at Sassuolo, Verona v Parma, Hamburg v Stuttgart and both to score at Torino v Inter Milan.
There were in fact 20 goals in those four games all the individual bets were up before half-time bar the Sassuolo goals tip.
I've posted my thoughts on Crystal Palace v Fulham separately but having done so well on Italian football yesterday I'm returning there for today's Super Single.
It's not Serie A but Serie B but a contest between two sides have were top-flight regulars until recently. Siena entertain Palermo and both sides are targeting a quick return to Serie A.
Palermo sit three points ahead of Siena only because the home side started on minus five points and have lost just one of their nine matches – to Novara – this season.
Siena have won four out of five at home while Palermo as usual are struggling on the road with just the sole success at Padova.
Away from has been Palermo's problem for some years and if you look back they've won just two of their last 28 on the road.
However, on the head-to-heads in Siena the last seven meetings read two wins apiece and a three draws so that's something that will give the Sicilians some hope.
But I like the odds on a Siena win and believe they can edge so back them at 11-8 with Titanbet.
I'm starting the Top Treble in Bundesliga 2 with unbeaten Cologne at home to 1860 Munich. Cologne sit second in the table behind Union Berlin after starting with five wins and five draws. They've also progressed in the German Cup, knocking out Mainz in the process.
1860 are on a poor run and have only scored in one of their last five games, a win over Aue. Cologne are confident and should extend their unbeaten run and are 4-7 at Titanbet.
Next look at La Liga and while I fancy Levante to win at Celta Vigo the safer bet on a treble could be Levante plus one at 5-6 with Titanbet.
Levante's season began in disarray with a 7-0 thrashing at Barcelona but their only other defeat in eight was 3-2 to Real Madrid. That's impressive stuff and they travel to a Celta side with just one win in eight.
A best price of 3-1 on Levante with Titanbet and others looks big and I may take it as a single.
Stay in Spain to complete the treble with Athletic Bilbao v Villarreall. Bilbao are unbeaten at home with 10 points from 12 so are slight favourites but it's a tough call.
Both like to attack though so I can see over 2.5 goals at 3-4 with Titanbet. Five of the last six meetings have seen both score with four out of six going over 2.5 goals.

Andrew Luck will be fired up to show the fans that he isn’t an after thought in this game. Luck can’t live with Peyton’s arm strength and accuracy but he may be drawn into an aerial shootout, especially if they fall behind early in the game. Luck’s safety blanket is his old collage team mate at Stanford TE Coby Fleener 11/4 to score again at Hills.
I can see both teams moving up and down the field, and over 6.5 touchdowns in the game 4/6 (Stan James) looks good value to me.

Keith, as I said at the weekend my stakes are much more heavily weighted in favour of the single which lands more often than the treble. My record all year has been about 2 out of 3 but 4 out of 5 over the last two weeks. You probably only need 2 out of 5 to break even as all are evens or above and quite often in the region of 6-4, 2-1. I’d say 2 trebles out of 7 would break even.
Keith, Mr F mentioned yesterday that his Super Single stake is always 5x his Treble stake. I’m trying that for a couple of weeks to see if it returns a profit.

Greg, I’ve always said the fewer the teams the better and so singles if possible. But not everyone wants singles and there are a lot of people who like to try the big accas for small stakes. It’s difficult to cater for everyone though. What I’ve noticed recently is the clamour to bet on and to do score and win tips. But the odds reflect how this bet is stacked in favour of the bookie. It’s those prices that are tempting punters just as the section lists did in the old days before people realised you could do what you wanted really.

Hey Greg! I always find your tips and info very helpful but I was wondering, what kind of staking plan do you use? For example, it seems as if you will be betting less on the 4pm game than the 2 x 2pm games. If anybody backed these 2 horses I apologise. I put them up on the basis that they were both suited by the heavier going and blinkers could/should have brought about some improvement. Both drifted alarmingly in the betting close to the off and I can’t fathom why but we live and learn. A 2nd at 6/1 is ok but doesn’t cover stakes for the day so try try again I suppose.

Patrick, my staking plan is dependent on a couple of things, the price and the level of confidence I have on that selection! It’s probably a matter of time before I follow what the Dane does which is ideal as most of my bets are singles!
Today day for example its 6 singles I’ve posted! The first 2 matches I’ll have a bigger stakes on 1.5 fhg as the price is shorter but the risk for me is reduced compared to over 3.5!
What I will say is the overs matches that I post, I keep stakes small – probably only about 20% of what id normally do on my biggest stakes! These matches are really just gap fillers during the day that can lead to small profit before the main matches at night!

blue mooner, to be honest I’m not a huge fan of the score and win bets. Odds are big they just reflect what you need to get right. It’s not as if bookies are giving anything away. If I do a both teams to score I might just predict a result on those and quote a price.
The bookies made it an easy decision in terms of stakes as they had the Randers games at just 8/15 for 1.5 fhg and usual market was 4.5 instead of 3.5 – not a big fan of over 4.5 so stakes more on the other game! :)

James, some people like to see points but I’m not a huge fan. To me if I’m tipping something I expect it to win and the price will tell you the chances. I did on Palace-Fulham just to illustrate my confidence or lack of it on certain bets. For some people points range from 1-20 but I tend to do 1-10 so 1pt is low stakes and 10pts is maximum. In this case then 1pt is worth one tenth to me.

If Messi was to start I’d probably rethink my approach but I’m basing it on Barca’s away form at this level, they seem to huff and puff in the group stages – like you said, Milan are missing a few but the San siro is a tough place to go and win – not a place Barca enjoy going, they’ve won just twice in 9 visits!

The Dane was looking at the 5 games you have advised today. It seems to me that by effectively dutching two outcomes to make the same profit you are playing the double chance here. So looked at double chance odds in the same games and in some cases you were risking a bigger loss should the unwanted third outcome happen. On the Orgryte game that amounted to a 30 bigger loss should Orgryte win. Therefore it may be worth looking at the double chance odds to achieve the same profit for a smaller stake or a bigger profit for the same stake. If my maths is correct then you may be able to eke out a little more profit here and there. And as the saying goes every little helps.
And looking at the quality of the tips you put on here I am sure you would easily be able to cash in on those little extras.

congregational, I’ve learned to have more discipline than in the past. As a rough guide I’ll risk between 5 and 10 per cent of any winnings on the next day’s card. The temptation is always to go big with money in your account but especially on a quiet Monday you should go easy. As I said in my piece I was doing a single on Levante and it was toss-up between them and Siena for the super single. Picked the wrong one but Italian football owes me nothing after Sunday.

Johnny, the win and over 2.5 goals should be under the goals tab and results/total goals. They don’t do it for every game though.
johhny j, it’s a very individual thing. I like bet365 for their markets, Betfred for Double Delight, McBookie/BetVictor for the Scottish goalscorers and others such Hills, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Coral have their merits. I especially like Hills and Ladbrokes on days like today, a safe haven from the torrential rain for me and the dug. If only they offered you a pint instead of a coffee. Funnily enough one of the easiest sites to use is Titanbet but they are let down sometimes by lack of markets.
