THE British No.1 and No.2 are both in action at the Paris Masters today but only one of them is fancied to progress.

Andy Murray begins his trophy tilt against Croatian youngster Borna Corac who stunned the Scot with a straight-sets win in the Dubai Championships quarter-finals in February.

Murray is just 1-10 (Boylesports) to avenge that upset with a win and and 7-19 (Unibet) to triumph in straight sets while Coric is 33-4 at 10bet to make it back-to-back wins over the Scot.

British No.2 Aljaz Bedene will attempt to cut giant American John Isner down to size and is 33-10 at Marathonbet to do so against BetVictor's 2-7 favourite.

Rafa Nadal takes on a player he's had problems with in the past – Lukas Rosol – while other matches include Grigor Dimitrov against Marin Cilic and Kevin Anderson versus Dominic Thiem. My double bombed yesterday with two upsets so I'll be sticking to a watching brief today.

England's final cricket Test is finely poised with Pakistan on 146-3 in their second innings – 74 runs ahead – and Alastair Cook's men are slight favourites at 5-4 with Paddy Power. Pakistan are available at 6-4 with winner while the draw pays 4-1 at Paddy Power.

There's also a packed NBA card to take us through the night so let's hear all your sporting tips and chat and good luck with your bets.

Tonight results tell us one thing. Can’t rely on any team in the East other than the Cavs. Going to be a few surprising results looking at these scores.

    NBA 4th October

    Chicago Bulls ML – 12:00AM
    Detroit Pistons ML – 12:30AM

    1.31/1 @ 365 – 1 point **LOST BY A MILE**

Drummond with 25 rebounds so slightly annoyed for flagging the 15.5 up without taking it.

    Better card tonight

    Oklahoma City Thunder -2
    Golden State Warriors -2.5

    0.86/1 @ Skybet – 3 points

Drummond with 29 rebounds. Pacers had 42 as a team! Sakes!

    NFL Week 9

Atlanta Falcons -4 @ 10/11 @ Skybet – 3.3 points **Now out to -7 in places so not worth it if you’re looking to get on as a single**

    New England Patriots -6.5 – Sunday – 6:00PM
    Denver Broncos -2.5 – Sunday – 9:25PM

    0.97/1 @ 365 – 7.5 points

    Add;

    Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 – Friday – 1:25AM

    Eurocup Basketball

No NBA for me last night so had some time to research Eurocup and get this post up early….

    Neptunas @ Nizhny Nozgorod (4pm)

    HT/FT: Nozgorod

    Charleroi @ Nancy (7pm)

    HT/FT: Nancy

    Galatasaray @ Krasny Oktyabr (4:30pm)

    Total Points: Under 172

    PAOK @ Avtodor (2pm)

    1st Half Spread: Avtodor -7

    Quad @ 47/10 William Hill – 1pt staked

    Good luck if you follow!

  7. merv 8 years ago

I can’t get the under 172 (currently maxed at 168.5) or half time spread on Bet365. You reckon that ht/ft double should be safe Hunter at poorer odds?

  8. Hunter 8 years ago

168.5 still seems high though! Which ht/FT you referring too? My favoured is the Nozgorod one… slightly!!

  9. merv 8 years ago

I can get both ht/ft tips in a double and could add the under 168.5 to it. What do you think?

To add the 168.5 or to not add the 168.5…that is the question.

Btw guys, just a heads up on the Slovakian Cup today in the football world. Trencin and Slovan Bratislava play lower league opponents. Ive went over 2.5 goals in both games which should hopefully be covered quite easily. GL if you follow

  10. OriaZ 8 years ago

@Hunter, I don’t have HT/FT market for these matches but can take the following (odds are not as good tho) :

    – Avtodor -7.5 HT @ 1.85
    – Galatasaray Under 172.5 @ 1.25
    – Novgorod -1.5 HT @ 1.30
    – Nancy HT @ 1.37

    Total @ 4.15

    What ya think?

  11. Hunter 8 years ago

William Hill have pulled their HT/FT markets…think PP have them at lesser odds?

Oriaz, looks good…the only banana skin I can see is Avtador but PAOK a shocking on the road and equally shocking in 1st half of games!

  12. Hunter 8 years ago

Merv, going by recent games those unders still look OK. You’re call bud!

  13. OriaZ 8 years ago

@Hunter, if I’m taking the same banana skin as you are then I have no problem with it :D just don’t want to place a riskier bet than the one you posted.

@Merv, just to be sure, you’re suggesting a double:

    – Kubin vs Trencin over 2.5 mg
    – Slovan Bratislava vs Phronie over 2.5 mg
    @ 1.65 (or better)

  14. Hunter 8 years ago

Markets back on Willy Hill. Through oddsch esker! :)

  15. merv 8 years ago

@Oriaz – I’ve taken over 2.5 in both games double at about 1.78 I think on Bet365. This is the cup so anything can happen but Trencin and Slovan are THE dominant teams in Slovakian football. If both teams show up, they’re more than capable of covering 2.5 goals on their own. Combined, Trencin and Slovan have scored 66 goals between them in a combined 30 games in the league. Taken into account these are lower league teams, I’m reasonably confident on these. It’s your call but GL if you follow mate

  16. OriaZ 8 years ago

@Merv, thx for the reply, I added Hawks ML just to get above evens as my odds aren’t as good as yours.

  17. Juan 8 years ago

Any thoughts on Nadal v Rosol today? Maybe over 21.5 games?

  18. MSD 8 years ago

Definitely a better card on the NBA, and hoping to find some more winners after last night’s flop.

    For my first bet tonight:

    Celtics -2 Spread @ 1.90 – 1 point.

2nd bet I’m liking the look of Huggy’s Cavs HT/FT tip, so will look to double that up with something later.

    Good luck everyone!

  19. Iddy 8 years ago

    Spurs +4
    Cavs -1.5
    OKC -1.5 – pays EVENS on B365
Any thoughts on the chances of this coming in from the Basketball crew???

  20. merv 8 years ago

Leg 1 up Oriaz! Trencin leading 2-1 at half time!

  21. Jordan 8 years ago

Lol Huggy ‘That east conference sucks..’

Next bet. Two East teams to be winning at HT/FT :)

    Good luck gents

    • huggybear518 8 years ago

ha ha , didn`t evem think of that..

i do put cavs above the East mediocrity though, and at present the nets suck and hawks are inform and should be good enough to put nets away home court.

but having said that IT DID MAKE ME CHUCKLE…

Too many market changes to reback the remaining fixtures. However, I do fancy a single in the Baltic League at 4pm. If this doesn’t land I’m done for the day!

Nevezis should be bit tired for this match, coming of the the back of losing yesterday against Tallina by 8 points after a very tough game and travelling and playing twice in a row in b2n matches, should be too much for them.

The hosts are just decent team and they will probable take advantage. Rapla is 2-1 in this group and with more rest days they are a good shout in my book!

The mental weekness of some tennis players makes me seriously question how they were ever gifted the opportunity to be one a professional and grace the courts on the tour circuit with the best players in the world. Lukas rosol has clearly got a lot of ability but put him on the court with an ex great like nadal and he falls apart a like a little boy who’s lost his mummy in the supermarket! Amazing!

Unlucky on the Eurocup Hunter. I’m sure given you’re recent incredible record that no one will hold it against you. I’m not a massive fan of basketball overs/unders so I ended up taking the Nizhny/Nancy HT/FT double.

  29. Hunter 8 years ago

Oriaz…Stan James had the full match at -6.5. Maybe a mistake on their part. No email as yet! If it is and it lands, it will be discounted on my totals.

Merv, cheers bud, just frustrating given the end result! Good luck with your double.

I think the Grizzlies will be Mad after last night’s thrashing and Kings may have De Marcus Cousins out.

I also here Orlando are a team for the future with some young potentials on there Roster..I think they can cover a few spreads and have kept some good teams close so far.

  48. Jordan 8 years ago

Quite surprised I’m the only one showing love for the Warriors and Thunder tonight. Raptors on back to back road games with the Thunder on rest. Warriors at home, lose? You wouldn’t think so. Yes the Clippers have a great starting 5, but when the bench comes in they struggle. Probably no better bench than the Warriors. Something some might not look into in basketball betting but I think its one of the most important factors. A bit misleading mind as the best bench in the NBA is currently the Knicks haha

  52. Picksix 8 years ago

The bench is definetely something I look at mate , especially at this early stage , coaches try new things out , perfect example the Cavs against the 6ers , I don’t think I’ve ever seen a court of players so out of position , experimentation is done at this stage and less risks are taken later on when there’s a clear playoff picture ,

The big boys need rest for when it matters

  53. Picksix 8 years ago

Jordan my minds telling me warriors will win but for some reason I’ve come to terms that i have a soft spot for the clippers lol the fact is warriors almost never lose at oracle

  54. Jordan 8 years ago

Fully agree there mate. Enjoy dam. Rip a fat one for me.

  55. Jordan 8 years ago

I don’t have a soft spot for the Clippers but I do like Griffin as a player. not as much as I like the Warriors though. Trouble with being relatively new to the sport. Don’t have a grudge against anyone. If the Warriors knock OKC out of the playoffs I might change my mind ;)

    Lol I will do

With the clippers bench too I’ve been reading that they have improved this season but from what I have seen that’s not the case , I’ve watched all the clippers games this season and docs been putting them out a lot but he’s been keeping them on court along with Deandre so I don’t see how that means the bench is improving when the best defensive player in the league is alongside them they were not doing that last season, highly doubt he will be doing that tonight that bench can’t make any stops wich means trouble

  68. Jordan 8 years ago

This is more of a interest for tomorrows game as I’ve got the Bengals in the main bets over the weekend.

The Cleveland Browns will be in Cincinnati for their first division square off this season. Dubbed The Battle of Ohio, Johnny Manziel will be the starting QB for the Browns and despite thinking he might put up some good numbers with DE Carlos Dunlap out for the Bengals who leads the teams is sacks. There are literally no markets available for any Cleveland WR’s or TE Gary Barnidge at the time of writing this, but putting trust in Johnny Football is probably not something I’d be inclined to do anyway. The Browns will also be travelling with a depleted secondary. Joe Haden is one of the best DB’s in the league and will miss the game due to concussion, as will SS Donte Whitner, and DB Jordan Poyer. Haden and Whitner are both 1st string with Poyer back up to FS Tashaun Gipson who has had a niggling ankle injury but is expected to play.

The Browns led the Cardinals on Sunday by 10 points at the half but once more had a second half to forget, not managing to get a point on the board, with the Cards coming back to score 24 points and win 34-20, with Carson Palmer totaling 374 yards with 4TD’s.

The Bengals will be looking to go 8-0 for the first time in franchise history and would love to do it against their bitter Brown rivals. AJ Green was targeted 17 times last week in Pittsburgh but they were fighting for the win. He ended up with 118 yards and a TD and leads the team in yards, targets, receptions, longest reception, yards after catch and first downs. With the Browns depleted secondary I think Green will get his fair share of the looks, but I’m going to be with somebody who I feel has a bit of value here despite the Browns not giving much to TE’s on the season.

TE Tyler Eifert has been Andy Daltons next best man to throw to this year. With numbers putting him in the upper ranks of TE’s on the season. He has had a bit of inconsistency during his last two games on the road but has produced this total in every home game this season and leads the team in TDs and second in most receiving ares behind Green. I personally think that you could pick, Green, Eifert or Jones to cover their line, but with Sanu sneaking in the snaps you’re not sure which one will have the bigger game. Marvin Jones is their real deep threat and could probably cover his line with one deep pass @ 50.5 @ WillHill, but I’ll be on Eifert who is a key man on any down and Daltons current safety blanket.

    Thursday Night Football – 1:25AM

    Tyler Eifert (Bengals) Over 48.5 Receiving Yards @ 10/11 @ WillHill – 2.2 points

Are you effing kidding me? In the time it took to type that write up I missed the 4th quarter and didn’t even realise the Thunder had a meltdown. Just checked ESPN. Up 97-91 with two minutes to go and they lose 103-98. NBA can do one one for a few days!
