THERE was no winning start to November for Johnb but he's hoping to get up and running on Monday.

Our man, 2pts down for the month, is advising a double among his picks.

Johnb's Monday Tips

Kempton 2:30
Brother Tedd 2-1 NAP William Hill

Adam Du Breteau 13-8 NB William Hill

Brother Tedd & Adam Du Breteau 6.88-1

  1. leicesterlad 3 years ago

lets turn this around john costing us a lot of money following you the last two months lets get back on track!

  2. Jimron12 3 years ago

Brother tedd gets a stone off a half fit conti over hurdles he has to win this :)

  3. Jimron12 3 years ago

    Urcalling 2.00 5/1 nap/NB for me tomo!

  4. johnb 3 years ago

Jimron12 yeah Conti’s main target this season is the Grand National so will be nowhere near fit enough plus his last hurdle race was February 2011

  5. Gaz H 3 years ago

JohnB-I know its a long way away but I’m looking at having a decent bet on Gordon Elliot to train a winner at Cheltenham. Skybet are going 5/4 which seems like printing money to me. Do u have any thoughts which would put me off? Cheers

  6. Rookie 3 years ago

    15.40 Kem Somchine 6/1
    14.40 Lud Leaderofthedance 3/1
    16.10 Kem Mr Lando 6/1
    14.20 Plu Native display 15/8

  7. johnb 3 years ago

Gaz H even with the horses he has now like Don Cossack, General Principle, No More Heroes, Tycoon Prince and others it will be hard but he only needs one and he will be well represented at Cheltenham
No More Heroes might be his best chance

  8. Jimron12 3 years ago

If i had to pick another one is be on somechine 3.40 I couldn’t really seperate that and my nap/NB

Will back both as singles and a double

  9. Gaz H 3 years ago

Cheers JohnB,Elliot’s a top trainer with a strong yard,I would be expecting him to send at least 15 horses over, all with decent chances. I think 5/4 for just 1 winner is a real banker and would pay for all the Festival.

  10. Mick 3 years ago

3.40 Adam du Breteau if you all want to get back level after a poor month from John this is the horse to hit the jackpot expecting a big run and will be putting down a lot more than the 1 pt

  11. de niro's cousin 3 years ago

having spent a week in pattaya not so long ago i had to back these tomorrow just for fun
    TRANS EXPRESS 4:20 ludlow

  16. mad golfer 3 years ago

Been following ye guys for awhile so hope we can make so xmas cash

  17. bigbucks 3 years ago

Smad place 5t4 to beat fingal bay 3.40 sf
Brother tedd posted the fastest time last year at cheltenham2m 4f over hurdles.
Has to beat conti. sf again for me, allows smaller stakes and larger returns.
Imtresting conti news, still has loads of speed.

  18. Scuba 3 years ago

Any thoughts for the melbourne cup tomorrow guys?

  19. de niro's cousin 3 years ago

    HELLIUM 2:10 ludlow for today

  20. johnb 3 years ago

Just a heads up on Silviniaco Conti which doesn’t surprise me
Paul Nicholls when asked about his star going hurdling for the first time in nearly 5 years said that Conti is being prepared for the Betfair Chase at Haydock in 18 days time, because of setbacks the horse needs a run before Haydock & this was the only race available for him to get a run
He said the horse will be better for the run whatever happens today but he isn’t 100% and will be using this race today as a stepping stone for the Haydock race

  21. peterb 3 years ago

see conti being backed on bet365 johnb brother ted out to 9/5 u still think get on it

  22. peterb 3 years ago

    sorry 9/4

  23. william 3 years ago

Johnb what’s your thoughts now on idaho winning the Derby after yesterday’s defeat?

What do you think the idea was behind running him on heavy ground?

  24. Obmit 3 years ago

Idaho now out from 20/1 to 33/1 Bet 365

  25. Dom77 3 years ago

Hi john. I dont often back horses as i know nothing about them. I do look at your page from time to time out of interest.
My view of horse betting is that it seems completely random unlike football where you can sometimes know that one team is going to win.
I notice that a lot of your tips havent wo n for a while. You are probably formulating your tips on stats and form but then a random horse wins instead. This has been my experience of horse racing.
Can you explain why you bet on horses considering how difficult it is compared to other sports?

  26. double carpet 3 years ago

    Melbourne cup selection

    MAX DYNAMITE 11/1 B365 EW

Think the booking of Frankie gives him a huge chance and he looks a solid ew bet.

  38. dougiec 3 years ago

Afternoon all, still trecking to The Queen Elizabeth daily.
Ive Backed Fame Game in the cup. On another note I see that there are 2 horses in the 4.20 at Ludlow that cost 100,000 euros between them,Pickamix and Toviere, but I see a bit of value in Oskar,s Eva against the boys 9/2.

  39. jimron12 3 years ago

  44. Alanm 3 years ago

Preferment is the leading Cup contender for the Chris Waller stable. It was around this time last Spring that the horse properly stamped his staying credentials by winning the 2014 Victorian Derby.

The horse failed to enter the winners’ circle in the Sydney Autumn, but he has already chalked up two wins this Spring, including an impressive victory in the G1 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington. It might pay to ignore his last start 9th in the Cox Plate as it never really appealed as a suitable race for the horse, especially given how it panned out. The Melbourne Cup looks a much more suitable assignment.

  45. Alanm 3 years ago

Trip to Paris is a British stayer trained by Ed Dunlop, which makes him a stablemate to Melbourne Cup regular Red Cadeaux. Dunlop believes he is the best stayer in Britain and some of his performances are supportive of this, including his win in the G1 Ascot Gold Cup over 4023 and his placing in the G2 Goodwood Cup against fellow Melbourne Cup rivals Big Orange and Quest For More.

Despite his good form over in England he seemed to get under people’s guards here in Australia and ended up being sent out at $31 in the Caulfield Cup. He ran an eye-catching second that day and his price for the Melbourne Cup was duly slashed. The 3200m of the Melbourne Cup should suit him even more and if Tommy Berry can give him the benefit of another gun ride then he’s every chance of fighting out the finish in this year’s Cup.

The Offer is a Gai Waterhouse-trained import who has spent the better part of his career racing in Australia. He was a one-time favourite for the 2014 Melbourne Cup before Waterhouse withdrew the horse following a poor showing in the Caulfield Cup.

The Offer is a Sydney Cup winner so he has proven himself at the Melbourne Cup trip. He’s also a last-start winner of the Bendigo Cup, carrying a big weight to victory and confirming that he’s on track for the Melbourne Cup.

  68. Alanm 3 years ago
