I SAID it would be all about Man City for me on Saturday but I couldn't have imagined how cruelly they'd treat me. A Joe Hart clanger and Aleksander Kolarov missed penalty in injury time cost me two wins and a draw.
City -1 was a 5pts Super Single, a second one was City -2AH and my 8-1 homes fourfold was downed by City -1 after wins by Burnley, Derby and Ayr.
Of my other two Super Singles Crawley was a winner and Ross County not to lose wasn't. So after a rollercoaster month the Super Single ends 10.1 points down – if Kolarov had potted his penalty I'd have finished 2pts ahead.
The accas total would have looked much better with that 8-1 success and I needed Excelsior to bring up a 7-2 btts treble but they chose this game to slip up.
Elsewhere it was a another cracking day for Greg Browning with three wins out of four including his Nap and NB and Scott Allott had two winners from two – an 11-4 treble and a 5-1 treble. As I've said the site's not all about me and we've built a community of top tipsters and posters.
There is a separate post on my both to score treble and after having a long look at latest team news today I'm making Napoli the Super Single. The'll go joint top with a win at Genoa and that's a massive incentive.
Genoa have decent home form but are missing four or five first-teamers today and I'm on Napoli to notch their sixth win in a row. That pays 4-5 with several firms and I wouldn't put anyone off backing Gonzalo Higuain to score at 1-1 with bet365 and Ladbrokes.
In fact for a Daily Double I'm on Higuain to score and Southampton to beat Bournemouth. Reasoning for the latter is on the UK football preview post.

I keep a spreadsheet of teams, different bet types and tipsters. Safe to say Man City are my worst performing team ( followed closely by United) and top of my s*%t list.
Spurs did there 11 games in the top flight though I don’t think Rangers even if they win it should be considered as a record as its 2nd tier . If they do it in the spl then fair enough but not championship

Well bit of a shocker in Holland with Ado getting there 1st win in 9 games or so against high flying Feyenoord so the Monday blues have came a day early :-(
Small loss for the day with Monaco keeping me in the game so they say, have been toying with the idea of 2 singles and a double main bets for some time and if the 1st loses then 2nd single bet stake will be trying to cover the 1st single loss and double loss.
Not 100 % sure if this is a goer as it might look like chasing and we all know that’s not the way to go but if the confidence and stats are favourable then we will see how it pans out.

My bets are decided on with a few rules I follow
I keep my bets under 8 folds
I make a short list of all the teams I think should win on any given day, I then dissect the teams with resent form and or past runs of bad form being turned around in a time frame I then look for any team news and head to head performance . Then I will consider line ups and how I think players will fair off agains each other as a major factor I consentrate on the teams with odds of around 7/2 -4/1 first and it’s very rare I back anyone over these odds . I will by then have one or two teams in mind these I call my price builders . I will then have a short list of bankers as I call them from there I will go with between 5-8 teams for example today I was left with a short list of 7 but I droped Fulham and derby all though they also won I didn’t see value in the odds on them two and considered that they were the 2 that could possibly let me down . I look for teams around even and one or two around the 3/1 mark I will only back odds on teams if I belive it’s a walk in the park for them . It takes me many hours to work out my bets by these methods . My number one rule is ANY DOUBT DROP THEM OUT . I will post my bets and if there followed it’s the chance taken I just hope I don’t bring bad luck to my self or others by posting here . I wish to remain anonymus and be known only as the punters man but used to be involved in profesional football at a high level ( not premiership ) . As for going further a field to bet I live in a small isolated place and don’t drive as I’m not allowed for medical reasons . All the book makers around here no me and most have closed my online accounts ( they don’t like loseing money ) I will leave on that note and my next post will be a bet but remember I do lose like everyone else I just win more than most so don’t be foolish with my bets and bet silly money or you will find your bank bust good evening to all and I recommend you just watch my bets for a while before following them . Let me prove my value so to speak

nazalus – What you describe isn’t luck, its called Variance. The law of probability guarantees that bad streaks will follow good streaks no matter how good we think we are. The only stat that matters is long term turnover. So when we get bad streaks we associate it to luck but really its just variance.

That’s a bit harsh mate. I think Greg’s a great example of how people like his bets. Even when he has a bad run (which is rare) people see the bigger picture.
JohnB’s work is a bit harder to compare to. Horses are much harder to predict but he doesn’t do badly over the course of 12 months.

Paul the four fold is my main bet . I see angers winning but it’s rare I back anyone over 4/1 and when I do it’s going to be added on to my main bet in a separate bet. Book makers are good at what they do they always win because they balance the books in there favour with the odds . Most people will trust the bookmaker odds and follow there prices I.e favourites . They no this so they adjust there books to allow for that but it’s not to often you will get 5/1 winners you will find 3/1 – 4/1 very often . They no people follow there priced favourites so they push some out to 3/1-4/1 when even they think they will win so that when average joe gets his coupon he will tick all favourites thinking he’s going to win and the 3/1 -4/1 will stuff his bet 9 times out of ten but as stated it’s rare they will push a team to 5/1 having said that I believe on this occasion the 5/1 has a very good chance so I’ll take it but I would prefer to risk an extra £20 the extra bet as a five fold than hamper my chances of the four fold I see winning. Remember I do lose but more often than not I win . I do not mean any offence to anyone on here but I can not and have not seen anyone posting here that’s anywhere near my win to loss ratio .

Tavernier is Rangers second top Goalscorer and he’s scored against Hibs in their two previous meetings this season. Team in Russia I’ve posted a few times about this year are out today and could be a bit of value too be had again with Gazovik Orenburg away at Baltika in the Russian National League at 2pm.

I don’t do Hollywood bets what ever they are but I do bet small for big profits as I see this way works for me . Just to add heat to the fire my biggest win to date is £145, 000 . Second was just over 80.000 3 rd was 42.000 they were in the last few years . I have pulled in bets around 20.000 many times my biggest this year is 24,000 and I’ve had 4 bettween 10-15.000 this year . I’ve pulled that many 1-2000 bets in from a £20 stake that I’ve lost count . I claim or get no money from anyone but the bookies and I’ve not worked since I was 40 I’m now in my mid 50s . I’ve won enough that I live in a nice house on the coast and can treat my kids and wife good . My with drives a 2014 plate x5 that I paid for . Lots of.positivity for Puntersman. Personally, I look on here for guidance with reasoning, great example being Derby County yesterday, where there was a great write up to back it up. I hope Puntersman wins a few more but I hope his personal story is true even more, because we all battle the bookies but he has an ongoing medical battle which he can’t win. If his big bets come in in the future, I would suggest that anyone who backs them makes a donation to an epilepsy charity.

I have decided that I will be trailing a different way of betting for a while. I have noticed that often bookies price favourites up too short, and there is value in the plus Asian handicap or double chance. Have a look at Atletico Madrid, bayern on Friday, Chelsea Saturday, man United, Sunday Feyenoord and napoli but to name a few. Obviously form and h2h needs to be researched but I think there is value to be found in draws and underdogs if you pick the right ones.
So, to start of with I am picking 2 for the champions league.
Borussia monchaglabach are quite strong at home and I reckon Juve should not be favourites. Juve drew with Borussia 0-0 at home, so Borussia double chance at 7/10 looks good.
Psg are way overpriced. They were the better team when they played real Madrid at home and it was a draw again. Psg double chance at 2.37 or 11/8 looks good. These are 2 strong teams and any result could be on the plate but a draw is plausible and the odds offered on psg double chance covering 2/3 of possible outcomes looks good value.

No one who backed it today should have thought it was going to win.
Any 50-1 bet that comes up is a bonus. A few of the comments towards him weren’t necessary.

as I said above, Lazio seem to lose against the top 6 teams. Which is why I wouldn’t back them.
Shaun, Lazio haven’t looked good on the first half but should improve. However, Milan look dangerous on the break. No bet for me but over 2.5 is better then evens and stands a better chance than a Lazio win.

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment behind your post, if you look back through my comments I in no way made a negative comment towards puntersman, just my own bad luck and an observation of how the games went. If I had been on his tip yesterday, yes, my views might be different, but with my darn luck I wasn’t. I very much hope he tips another big acca very soon and will be backing him despite today’s disappointment. No ill will is ever directed from these parts, trust me.

The only reason people are jumping on Puntersman’s loss is because of the manner of his post. We get plenty of winners on here, some big prices some small, but as soon as someone starts saying things like “I’m not God” and “I bet no one else has ever posted a 50/1 winner like me on their first day” and bragging about their winnings and lifestyle after 1 winner it gets peoples backs up.
Hope he keeps posting and gets a few winners though

agree with jim burnside about puntersman one hundred percent he come on here blowing his own trumpet .. my comment must off been removed yesterday by mr fix it i wont be joining the new site and paying for membership if my comment gets removed everytime even if its not negative more friendly advice to stop him from getting slack by boasting. All i asked was proof that since puntersman been on here he tipped 9 out of 11 winners because yesterday he tipped three losers in a row so the ratio not really adding up for me.

The criticism of him putting up 2 losers was over the top in my opinion.
There will be moderators on the new site who can edit or remove comments – but they’ve been asked to be lenient.
At the end of the day he could tip 50 losers in a row at those odds and still not merit criticism. Long shots are speculative bets and everyone should know that.
