WHAT a night it was in the Bernabeu as Real Madrid rode their luck to stay on course for a third successive Champions League success.
Twenty-four hours after Roma's remarkable comeback to KO Barcelona we saw another inspired Italian display – although this time it ended in agony.
Cristiano Ronaldo's injury-time penalty and Gianluigi Buffon's red card completed the drama and the holders live to fight another day.
Nothing much happened in the second semi as Bayern qualified after a 0-0 draw with Sevilla and that beat my Top Treble. The SS was Ronaldo to score first but of course he netted last.
My £10 to £1000 on Twitter remains on £700 after I decided not to put up three selections for a vote. Two of them would have won – Wolves and overs at Real – to take me over the line but I'm waiting until Saturday for the next bet.
Tonight it's the Europa League's turn to take centre stage so will there be more drama? All four homes face a deficit so will there be any glorious comebacks?
Arsenal take a 4-1 lead to CSKA Moscow, Marseille trail Leipzig 1-0, Red Bull Salzburg are 4-2 down to Lazio and Sporting Lisbon trail Atletico Madrid 2-0.

Wierd results last night made for a bad night,anyone fancy Bayern to win it??
They seem to be slipping under the radar because they’ve had an easier route to this stage whereas the other sides have been involved in massive games against the bigger teams. I fancy Madrid or Liverpool before them. Hoping they two avoid each other in the Semi’s and meet in the final.
Second favourites at 2/1 is to short for me. Roma at 12/1 depending on who they draw could be a shout. Any one of them could win it to be honest.

Ramos knew he shouldn’t have been where he was, but chose to ignore the terms of his suspension.
Same applies with the laws of the game.
I’ve had loads of fun on Twitter since last night, with people who don’t know the laws of the game, debating the laws of the game.
This includes professional players, past and present.
One said it wasn’t a penalty, because the defender got a touch on the ball.
Ignoring the fact that the defender had his leg wrapped around the attacker, and his foot chest high.
NOWHERE in the laws of the game does it state that winning the ball in whatever fashion a defender sees fit, is fine and dandio.
The other one that does my t*ts in, that I have either heard or read from fans is, ‘He was the last man, it’s got to be a red card!’ There is NO such law. Never has been!
The law is, ‘Denying a goal scoring opportunity.’
So, if the last defender pulls an attacker down on the halfway line, that player still has at least 50/60 yards to run to goal, with defenders breathing down his neck.
The referee has to base his judgement on the probability of the attacker’s chances of scoring.

Most bets will be on the Europa Legaue tonight, however, the main event for me is the SPL development Legaue and my favourite side for goals, Ross County.

The did win away at Kilmarnock earlier in the week and that was their first away win in 22 games. They’ve conceded 2 or more Goals in 17 of their last 20 away games. Given how strong Ross County are at home, the fact it’s a 380 mile trip for St Mirren and based on how poor St Mirren are on the road this should be a comfortable home win. They aren’t the best defensively Ross county so hoping St Mirren can nick goal

Not sure about a comeback but I fancy goal sin France tonight. Leipzig keep their first European clean sheet last week at home to Marseille, but the French were very unlucky not to score. The Germans have only kept two clean sheets in their last 15 games away from home, but have also scored in 12 of the 15. 1-0 lead isn’t massive big it shouldn’t give Leipzig the benefit of being able to sit back. Both should score here and I’m chancing the extra goal as its way too short on the single.

Burgess Hill and Leatherhead both have plenty to play for, in particular. Leatherhead have enough games in hand to put themselves right amongst the playoff places, while Burgess Hill need to take advantage of their game in hand over bottom side Tooting. Both sides should be looking for 3 points. Burgess’ home games have often seen goals this season – especially so lately (46 in their last 10 at home).

Arsenal are not really a go to team team for corners, they quite frequently lose corner contests despite winning comfortably due largely to the way they play. At the Emirates they LOST the corner match bet against CSKA Moscow (3-4). Looking back at their previous two away performances in the Europa it can be seen that they also lost the corner contests at both Milan (10-3) as well as at the mighty Ostersunds FK (3-2).
