LAWRENCE SHANKLAND had the honour of scoring the first goal of the new Scottish season as we got to a decent start with Hearts v Dundee United.
Kevinmac tipped the ex-Ayr hitman to score and also predicted a draw at 13-4 while Scott's members bet was both to score. Apologies for saying kevin had two winners on Thursday's Aberdeen game – he did have until RoPS scored with the last kick if the game and I'd already scheduled the post and forgot to update it.
I also focused on the Hearts game for my Super Single and Dundee United draw no bet at 10-3 was void.
Well done to all the winners on Friday – I was away all day at the Scottish Open golf so wasn't paying too much notice.
Saturday sees a pile of Betfred Cup opening group ties and I've posted a separate preview here. Difficult to call some of these games as it' still really pre-season so take it easy with the stakes.

Alright business not expert on boxing but I’ve been looking at this domestic matchup for awhile. I’m naive buying fancy Dubois to finish it early but looking for advice from p who have more knowledge. Appreciate any input lad
Easy Drogers, I’ve been mulling over it all week and yeah decided to go large on the straight Dubois win. From what I’ve heard when they were both in the GB squad together, in the numerous spars they had Gorman used to come out on top. Dubois hasn’t denied it but the fact remains Gorman is not a concussive puncher while Dubois has dynamite in both hands. Gorman will prove slick and elusive with quick hands but im not fully convinced by his punch resistance so if at any point it turns into a centre of the ring shootout with both in in the pocket trading the fight could edge towards Dubois. He’s been working with Frank Bruno in the Peacock Gym apparently on power techniques and really sitting down on his shots and I just feel hes gonna put on a career best performance and leave it all in the ring.

I thought that was the difficult part of my main bet done but a woeful Derry failed to score against basement boys UCD in a boring 0-0 draw. Minimal damage done but it could have been so much better had Nadal managed to win one more set and land the 19/1 longshot.

I mentioned earlier in the thread when replying to Drogers that I’m siding with Dubois in this domestic crossroads fight. The way both have fought common opponents en route to this bout is a deciding factor as well as Dubois devastating power.
Dubois, who has 8 KOs within the first 3 rounds from his 11 fights, annihilated Cojanu in 2 and beat up Johnson for the full 10 rounds. In comparison Gorman was forced to complete the 10 round distance with Cojanu, shipping a fair few shots to head and body and went the distance with Johnson but didn’t look threatening at any point.
I think Gorman will try to box his way to a victory but I don’t believe he has the power to bother Dubois. Dubois will be throwing bombs throughout setting up the big right hand of the jab and I really feel if he catches Gorman flush he could certainly knock him out or put him down. If Gorman boxes elusively he could earn a decision win but for me it’s a big ask and I believe Dubois will utilise his dangerous punching ability to grab the win and the title.

Just looked at the 2018 table dep santini only conceded 25 goals in 22 games according to what i have seen they also only lost 8 out of 22 games although they did draw 10 as well might be why the price looks big plus 1st games and all that
