IT was a disappointing night for Celtic but not entirely unexpected as they crashed 3-0 at Zenit to bring up the Super Single.
I tipped the Russians -1 at 9-5 and while I'd have been happy to be proved wrong their old defensive frailties came back to hunt them on a night where the Scots enjoyed 67 per cent possession but little in the way of clearcut chances.
Celtic have a chance to bounce back at Aberdeen on Sunday and if they lose that it will make for an interesting end to the season.
My goals treble went down early with Villarreal missing out against Lyon while the other fives sides scored. Well done to all the winners including Greg with his over 0.5 first-half goals in the Europa League late kick-offs and maccathered who tipped over 4.5 goals at Sporting v Astana.
As usual my focus is now on the weekend card but I've added a treble to the Super Single I put up last night.
The SS is Livingston to beat Dundee United. Livi are the shock team of the season in the Scottish Championship and having been promoted last season have all but clinched a play-off spot to get into the Premiership.
A cracking campaign was capped by last week's 4-1 thrashing of leaders St Mirren and on Friday they entertain a Dundee United side who trail them by three points with two games in hand.
United were pre-season title favourites but following the sacking of Ray McKinnon new boss Csaba Laszlo has failed to arrest a slump and his men have won in five including a 6-1 defeat at Falkirk and 3-0 at home to Morton.
They lost 2-0 at Livi earlier in the season but beat them 3-0 at Tannadice. I reckon the home men will edge this and if you want less risk Livi draw no bet pays 4-5 at McBookie and BetVictor.
In today's Racing Post Scottish tipster Mark Walker advises Livi to score 2+ at 27=20 with Ladbrokes and that's a decent alternative.
Elsewhere tonight Hull v Sheffield Utd isn't easy to call in the English Championship and there are plenty of games to look at on the Continent including Greg's favourite French Ligue 2 and the goal friendly Jupiler League.
My Top Treble starts with Mainz not to lose at home to Wolfsburg. Mainz have lost one of their last 10 at home and are unbeaten in six when Wolfsburg visit.
Deportivo have lost three in a row without scoring and have hit second bottom. Espanyol are 10 points better off but have won just once away. However, their last three have been score draws against Barcelona, Celta Vigo and Villarreal so they should at least pick up a point.
Complete the treble with Strasbourg to score at home to Montpellier. Strasbourg are underdogs but have netted seven in three games including two at PSG when they crashed 5-2. At home they've scored 20 in 13 games and that's just three fewer than Lyon. To score they are around 1-2 which is decent.
Last week Chris Guy tipped Jean Alohou to score first at PSG at 90-1. That was a great shout – tonight the midfielder is a best 18-1 at Unibet and could be worth a look.
