IT was another dramatic day of football for good and bad reasons.
The attack on Jack Grealish by a Birmingham fan was even more shocking than the incident involving James Tavernier at Hibs last Friday.
Both fan invaders have been arrested and let's hope the book's throwing at them because there's no place for it in the modern game.
Grealish had the last laugh with the derby winner and elsewhere in England Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffered his first domestic defeat as Man United boss at Arsenal and that downed my Super Single.
All three teams on my Top Treble struggled but Hoffenheim, Rennes and Real Madrid fought to the finish to earn me a 12-5 winner. My 1pt btts treble was a Nice goal short.
Greg had another good day with his Wolves tips and Scott's hot form continued with a winner on the members bet. Kevinmac's preview on Chelsea v Wolves was pretty much spot on and he's posted his thoughts on tonight's St Mirren v Kilmarnock Premiership match. Well done to all the winners on Sunday.
That's the only game in the UK while on the Continent Claudio Ranieri takes charge of Roma at home to Empoli and Eintracht Frankfurt travel to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga and in Portugal it's Benfica v Belenenses and there's not much else on the go.
The obvious bet tonight would be Roma, Eintracht and Benfica but Roma are in a bit of mess as they try to cling on to hopes of making the Champions League again while Eintracht and Benfica face Europa League second-leg clashes on Thursday.
Eintracht go to Inter as underdogs after a 0-0 home draw while Benfica welcome Dinamo Zagreb having lost 1-0 in Croatia.
As far as Benfica and Eintracht go team news is vital and I'd want to see strong line-ups before backing them. Eintracht are actually quite big at 6-4 with Marathonbet but there's a reason for that.
Ranieri has nine players missing with Federico Fazio, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko banned and other such as Nicolo Zaniolo, Kostas Manolas and Lorenzo Pellegrini doubtful.
Whatever side the Tinkerman puts out is anyone's guess and again I'd want to see the line-up and how he sets up. Empoli have one win in six and are without a victory away from home but rather than backing any of the short-priced favourites I'm taking both to score at Roma and doubling it with btts at St Mirren.
Empoli have netted on three of their last four visits to Roma and nine in their last six. Defensively Roma have been poor and 18 conceded at home is more than any other side in the top half in Serie A. Ranieri sides traditionally struggle to keep clean sheets – even when he bribes the players with pizza!
Saints and Killie need wins for different reasons and while they're not the highest scorers we should see both going for it. A draw doesn't really suit either with Saints bottom and Killie winless in eight as they try to stay on course for a Europa League place.
Five out of six meetings in Paisley have seen both score as have two out of three between the sides this season.
As I've said before I don't mind risking 1pt on a quiet night so good luck if you follow.
