AFTER disappointing draws in the Champions League Liverpool and Man City get back down to the business of fighting it out for the Premier League title.
The lunchtime game features City at Newcastle and while they've struggled at St James' Park in recent seasons I see them winning by at least two against shot-shy rivals.
Later Liverpool are at home to a decent Brighton side who do most of their best work on the south coast.
So it should be wins for the big two as well as Chelsea against West Ham – and if you add Leicester at home to Everton it's a top-four fourfold that pays 11-5 at Marathonbet and one that will tempt the big hitters.
I've already picked out Leicester -1 as Sunday's Super Single and just to win they're likely to be on my Top Treble on Sunday.
It's freezing up north today and three games have fallen to the cold snap – the matches at Ayr, Morton and Albion Rovers. Ayr and Morton tips will be voided on Desmond's selections and Damian Walker had picked a Morton first scorer so ignore that one.
Saturday's Super Single is Motherwell at just over evens at home to basement boys St Johnstone. It will be interesting to see if Greg agrees after wrongly backing against his side last week.
Talking of Greg – what a run on he's on and he tells me he's close to saving the money he needed to buy a condo on the Clydebank riviera. He's had a tremendous week and on Friday it was French goals that landed for him. Some amount of goals in Holland too – all but one game going over 3.5 goals.

I like the look of AJ by decision, bully. 5.8 on the exchanges.
What do you reckon? I can’t see him going all out for the ko since he will be worried about Ruiz’s power
I really think Ruiz will beat him again, possibly by KO – just feel AJ is too robotic and telegraphs whatever work he does. AJ’s only chance in this is to keep it long and use the jab/right hand or hope to walk Ruiz onto a shot as he closes the distance. If it becomes an inside fight like last time Ruiz wins every time being the shorter man with quicker hands. We’ve already seen that AJ cant fight on the backfoot and I also believe there could be a mental thing with him as well where fighting outside of the UK (where he has been made to feel so comfortable) effects his performance.
If we’re being honest, despite getting wins we’ve now witnessed Whyte, Klitschko, Takam, Povetkin & Ruiz all put hands on AJ. Ruiz has a fantastic chin and has been boxing since age 6 so there’s no doubt to me he’s the better fighter with the better boxing brain. The fight really comes down to the styles both use on the night but personally I don’t know if AJ still has the hunger after all the money he’s made so its a repeat result for me.
A nice price of 11/8 can be found on over 5 goals in a game from the Gibraltar National League. St Joseph’s history Eurpoa Point. Two of the past three meetings have brought up over 5 goals and St Jospeh have scored 21 goals in their past 5 games. More than capable of bringing up the goals total alone against a side sitting second bottom of the league.

Glasgow although not in the best of form have a better side out today. Leinster have rested all players that started last week. Pretty youthful side. Glasgow’s side features a few first team players, I just think the class will show in the end.
Sale’s side is fun to watch this year. The players they have in the back like just shouts tries. Worcester will be stubborn at home but I think any side with the wingers sale have will struggle to hold them out.

As predicted, Derby got beaten away to Fulham midweek and whilst I was certain Fulham would take the spoils, I did expect Derby to at least have a go. The Rams made a quick break on 3 minutes with a nice cross landing at Lawrence’s feet, all he had to do was place it. He tried putting his laces through it and missed the ball. That was as good a chance as Derby had all match. Barely 5 minutes later and Fulham were ahead. Fulham grew into that game and won at a cater with a 3 nil score line.
Fulham look the real, deal and if they continue – especially with Mitrovic firing on all cylinders. I see he got another brace last night.
With 4 losses on the bounce away from home, Derby’s home form is much more solid with 5 straight wins ( 4 of them to nil ). The fans have been berating the manager about his faith in Derby’s keeper and a fresh approach, and he has duly obliged with 4 changes. We also have Rooney here pitching in with training and watching from the dugout – but not legally allowed to play until January.

For me its an uncertain one because its Frampton’s debut at super feather after nearly a year of inactivity and I’ve not heard of his opponent before, who happens to be unbeaten. Rumors were Frampton was struggling with making the weight down at feather so he could be a lot stronger tonight but I couldn’t personally bet either way on it.
Yeah he was always struggling to make the weight so am hoping he will be stronger.

I have to comment on Brendan Rodgers, I was at school with the guy and even then he had a presence about him on the sporting front. I don’t really follow the Scottish games but lots of you will know him from his time at his beloved Celtic. I think he knows how he wants his teams to play and he rarely sways from his principles.
