THERE are some glamour games tonight – the likes England v Italy, Spain v Argentina and Germany v Brazil – but I'd much prefer betting on matches in Paisley and Kirkcaldy.
As good as they look on paper the games at Wembley, etc, are still friendlies and I'm always reluctant to bet on them although sometimes seeing line-ups offers a big clue to how the results will go. So I may add some international picks nearer kick-off times.
We also have Hungary v Scotland and while I like Scotland draw no bet at evens again I want to see Alex McLeish's starting XI.
For now I'm putting up a Scottish double as a Super Single – Championship champions-elect St Mirren to beat Dumbarton and League One title chasers Raith to see off East Fife.
My Top Treble is Clyde draw no bet at Cowdenbeath and both to score at Albion Rovers v Arbroath and Stirling v Edinburgh. I'll put up a separate post on Scottish football and have posted one on the internationals.
Germany and Brazil have named strong sides with the likes of Jesus, Coutinho, Willian, Stindl, Werner and Sane starting. Should be goals so let's go with btts and add Spain v Argentina with Messi and Higuain up front for the visitors while Spain start Diego Costa.

They travel to the highlands who i don’t believe will be motivated for this tie having won the Challange cup final on Sunday. Who knows if the players over indulged on the Sunday night celebrating. One thing they haven’t had is time to prepare for this game and with United finding it easier on the road with less pressure on them I think they are good value to get a much needed three points against an ICT side hopefully with a cup final hangover.
