IT was another good night as a week of winners for myself and Greg Browning continued.

My only top tip was a double on Liverpool to win and both to score at Sevilla while Greg correctly tipped a Shakhtar goal before a certain time as his 5-6 nap.

On my preview I backed Liverpool to qualify at 6-4 – and it was my Super Single in the Daily Record but not on the site – and Daniel Sturridge to score.
Bet of the Day for members only also won so that's four in a row since Monday.
As usual my focus is on Saturday's card and writing my weekend column but I'll try to get a look at Friday's game after lunchtime.
I put up a couple of Super Singles yesterday for the one game I've looked at closely – Inverness v Dundee Utd. I backed Dundee and Dundee -1 against United on Monday and they won late on to relegate their rivals who have since sacked boss Mixu Paatelainen.
Full reasoning is on a separate preview but with United in disarray on and off the park I have to take Inverness and Inverness -1.
A home win pays over evens with the likes of McBookie and William Hill going 21-20. That will be my main bet but again I'm advising ICT -1 at 27-10 with McBookie.
There are loads of other games to consider and as usual quality tips will be posted from regulars throughout the day so keep a look out.
Remember to check out We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

There we have it Challenge complete.

    ********** £30 to £1000 **********

Completed in exactly 20 hours and 5 minutes.

    Total bets needed = 9

    Lowest odds used = 1.20

    Highest odds used = 1.625

Gonna start my next challenge at £50, i am confident i will get another challenge smashed before Sunday evening.
Sorry i dont post many tips its just sometimes its kinda in the moment type of thing unless its a pre match bet.

Bet 1: General Caballero v Olimpia Over 2.5 match goals. I will be waiting for odds to hit around 1.30 so it could take a while and a goal will probably be scored by the time it hits those odds. Just a reminder i am due a loss at some point :)

    Good luck

Nice on,I’m doing this challenge, still needing that luck as we all do&discipline, seeing how games pan out&jumping on over 0.5gls Inplay,if a goal is scored before then I leave that game&head onto the next one on my list,is fun&money increases quickly but you have to hold your nerve, enjoyable but not recommended for the faint hearted lol

    • hampy 2 years ago

Was that supposed to be over 1.5mgls bud for 1.30 odds

@hampy no mate it was for over 2.5 goal but the goal went in before the odds reach what i wanted to to be. I continued to do over 3.5 but it lost. At least i have found my loser and im glad it isnt up in the high hundreds.

@theboss bet won yes but the odds weren’t good enough for me

        • theboss 2 years ago

Thought you were on 1.5 goals I think 2.5 is much more Risker obviously you get to £1000 quicker but risky.

I know lots of you guys this past week have been following my own progress on my bank-building challenge and after banking a 5th £100, my starting balance today stands at just north of £3100. Trying to limit the stress and persistently looking for the statistical reassurance that i’ll grind out another 1 or 2 tiny winners is hard to do but knowing I’ve already banked £500 in less than a week means regardless of if I manage to take this challenge beyond the furthest I’ve ever been ( £4100 ) or I hit the wall, I’ll still have £500 to treat myself to something nice.
Its all been done with just £10.
I know that a lot of you guys jumped into this challenge up until xmas and before and due to its popularity, besides it giving you one hell of a rollercoaster ride, it is excellent to teach yourself about self control and keeping at bay your in built ability to overreach. Overreach is your biggest enemy and the bookies best friend.
Due to my own personal circumstances, around January I took a few months out from contributing to the threads, but due to renewed interest, I have decided to restart it with Part 6.
If any of you guys with full membership wish to participate, then please feel free to join in. You will learn so much about betting and you’ll also learn a lot more about yourself too.
For those guys wishing to dip your toe in the water for the first time, and those regular participants returning, if you jump straight in to Part 6 without going back through ALL 6 parts start to finish, you’re setting yourself up to fail. A few hrs of reading ( not exclusively written by me but other members ) will seed your brains with some cast iron help. Sadly it is spread over 6x threads and I’m working on a way to get all the info in one easy to read place. There’s a lot of info to absorb but when you get the basics in place, you’ll create your own checklist to help you qualify every selection you make. If you don’t have this checklist in place, you’ll not be equipped properly to progress with the challenge.
There are no rules as such, well maybe one but its a ” thread ” rule: the challenge exclusively targets one market only, nothing else, I just ask that anyone who pitches in with something on their radar sticks exclusively to the market we’re looking at, it avoids temptation for all participants of the thread to jump off script. So its a safety mechanism to try to keep everyone safe.
If you are a returning participant, please, re-read from the start. there are many many posts within the 6 threads that contain peoples games/picks, its maybe 90% but most of the written content about how to progress ( but not exclusively me ) is written by me, so there’s only about 10% of the content needs to be read. BUT the other 90% does contain info on matches that fail ( these get added to each-others C*&T list ) so scroll past them without noting them down at your own risk.

The location of the thread can be found in the Forums tab at the top of the page, then view all forums, then your bets and challenges tab, on the front page, you’ll see ” £10 Bank Building Challenge Part 6 “, tab through to the 3rd page age find ” Bank Building From £10 till you run out of luck or courage ” – that is Part 1. read them in order and transform the way you bet.

If you wish to go off script, then please do it as a totally separate bet and don’t publish what your ” tip ” within that thread.

    Thanks for your support everyone.

I have a lot of money on it so I have them not too lose at 21/50. They haven’t lost a home game all season.

    • nathanufton 2 years ago

Its for paid members and its on the very first page when you log on to the general football tips tab, its just locked out to none members. It doesn’t always come up early morning but I know Mr F puts it up as soon is possible and there’s usually plenty of time to drop something onto it. I’d just keep checking every hour or two.

newtownalex, you’ll see it on the site but only members can read it.
Sometimes it’s there every day but it depends on size of card, what I fancy and how much time I’ve got.
There will be a Bet of the Day on Saturday and Sunday but hardly ever on a Friday.

    *Repost from last night*

Having read Mr F’s preview of the Inverness match, I feel emboldened to have a small stakes corner bet for interest.

    Inverness over 6.5 team corners

    11/10 (Bet365)

Inverness have only recorded 7 or more corners in 3/17 home matches this season, however they did achieve 13 in the last meeting between the sides in Inverness. They also won 12 against Kilmarnock last time out. With Dundee United in disarray, Inverness may run riot (if they can be bothered).

  19. deepdrop22 2 years ago

Mr F, is the bet of the day only available to gold members only now? Not sure if I’ve missed a post explaining the change if there has been one! Cheers.

    • Author
      Mr Fixit 2 years ago

jimba, I thought the price was good but my only concern is Inverness don’t have much to play for.
United have put Dave Bowman in temporary charge and there is talk he’ll play a team of kids so watch for line-ups.

  21. stagger 2 years ago

One bet today. Scottish football has been pretty decent to me these past few days, especially Dundee, and I’m keeping the faith with MrF’s Inverness fancy.
The straight win has gone thin at Coral (7/10) so I’m on the slightly better team goals market.

Inverness over 1.5tgs (17/20 Coral) thanks very much.

Afternoon gents – just drove passed Mr F’s house and there was a Securicor van outside, haha!

It’s the penultimate match in French Ligue 2 tonight with a full card! I’ve got loose change on all 10 being over 2.5 and 1.5! End of the season matches usally produce goals so see what happens tonight!

It’s a tough card to call with some meaningless matches and some crucial ones!

Wasnt going to post a NAP today but I like the look of two teams, both at home both closing in on promotion and both in good shape!

    Metz v Tours KO 7.45pm
Strasbourg v CA Bastia – National league KO 8pm

    Metz / Strasbourg Double 21/20 (Bet365) (NAP)

What are people thoughts on the Leicester v Everton match tomorrow?

I think theres real value in Everton – The league is over and I don’t believe for a second the Leicester players minds have been focused on this match after what happened on Monday night! Partying, interviews, the whole world media focus and it actually sinking in they’ve won the league! Everton will be better prepared, I just feel That despite them being professionals, they are human and will not have given this match the preparation And focus they would have done had they not won the league this week!

Everton are 1/1 double chance and the one I like most is an Everton goal before 60 mins at 5/6

    • elvis parsley 2 years ago

I would leave it alone and just enjoy the occasion, though if you pushed me I would go 2-1 for Everton as it will be Martinez’s last away game in charge.
Biggest under achievers for me given the talent in their squad.

    • wasclueless 2 years ago

Reckon it will be a party and expect (hope) for a few goals took > 2.5 MGS at 7/10 as soon as Spurs drew.

    • Author
      Mr Fixit 2 years ago

GregBrowning, depends on how hungover they are.
I’ve got a feeling there will be a few goals on a real carnival night.
That would be my call ahead of any WDW – I also think Vardy will score but not at Filbert Street.

    • geoff50 2 years ago

I agree Greg they are great value and I will be backing them small stakes.

Leicester obviously won’t be completely focused and have some key players missing. Martinez’s job seems to be on the line every time Everton play and I doubt a win here will save him but hopefully the players put in a performance. He will certainly be desperate for the win.

I think someone mentioned it earlier in the week but the draw no bet double of Everton and Arsenal really appeals to me.

  28. warktheline 2 years ago

@guru great shout that. Without doubt, most of the Foxes would have downed one or two over the eight!

    Main bet-
SONDERJYSKE over 1.5 team goals 4/5.

Summary-These boys enjoy a goal, or two, or three on home soil! They’ve had a cracking season, and I see no reason for that to change when they entertain ESBJERG today! ESBJERG haven’t faired well against top 4 in league, home or away!

    Small stakes-
SONDERJYSKE over 2.5 MATCH goals 9/10.

Summary- Although SONDERJYSKE score plenty, they’ve only keep 3 clean sheets at home, 2 of those coming against hapless HOBRO!

  29. stagger 2 years ago

Seems a bit obvious to say, Greg, but I think Vardy is one to watch tomorrow. No doubt he’s chuffed to bits with the title but I think he’ll want to mark his absence the last couple of games with a goal at Filbert Street just for good measure (although whether he gets the service from his possibly unfocused team mates is another question!) I can see Everton getting a point out of it maybe, depends how much the players want to stave off the negative press surrounding Martinez (or is it too late?)
Vardy anytime goes at 1/1 (Coral, maybe better elsewhere)

  30. stagger 2 years ago

And I hate the commercial names of some grounds nowadays and refuse to acknowledge them.

  31. nathanufton 2 years ago

Just to let you guys know I’m 6 minutes + injurytime from crapping out. It’s not a problem, I’m up on the week as a whole and its been one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

Unless by some miracle, the goal gods make a late cameo appearance, £3651 will be my 2nd highest ” Score ” I’m disappointed yep, but i’ll take it on the chin and walk away with £500 on the hip.

    • nathanufton 2 years ago

I’ve also bailed out with seconds left of 90 mins, with 3 mins of injurytime left, I dust off with a slightly shrunken £476.86 in my bank. At least I still have a decent amount to fight again. It’s the first time in an age I’ve bailed on a bet in this challenge for a long time but i’ll treat it as a learning curve.

I’ll find a night owl to drop onto if possible and hopefully start afresh tomorrow.

    Evening gents,

Icelandic 3rd tier (2 Deild) kicks off tonight and one match catches the eye for a few goals…

Magni narrowly edged their weekend cup game with a testing 15-0 win and although it’s a freak result, they know how to find the net.

Previous games’ match goals read: 15-8-4-4-1-3-5-1-3-5-5-7.

Volsunger aren’t exactly goal-shy with their own match goals record looking like this: 1-3-5-3-2-5-5-0-3-8-3-3.

As ever, Coral are my go-to bookies for Nordic games and three selections may be worth considering:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…19/20
    (3 Points)

    OVER 4.5 MGS…21/10

Having read Mr F’s preview of the Inverness match, I feel emboldened to have a small stakes corner bet for interest.

    Inverness over 6.5 team corners

    11/10 (Bet365)

Inverness have only recorded 7 or more corners in 3/17 home matches this season, however they did achieve 13 in the last meeting between the sides in Inverness. They also won 12 against Kilmarnock last time out. With Dundee United in disarray, Inverness may run riot (if they can be bothered).

2 corners in the first 15 minutes got my hopes up, but it wasn’t to be.

  59. capone31 2 years ago

Cheers Mr F for mentioning Tondela before, btts and over 2.5 @13/10 :D

15/4 Cover available on Under 1.5 Match Goals in the MLS with William Hill for anyone that might be on. I have taken this to guarantee profit. Every chance of getting a better price inplay with a first half goal but as I will be drooling into my pillow when it’s on I have just covered for the win. I will be doing this more often with these type of bets when I can. A win is a win!

    • harrybaines 2 years ago

I think i am gonna do over 1.5 goals in second half tbh. There will be very few goals in the first half

Any thoughts for night owls lads??

  64. HullShaker 2 years ago

Slim pickings on the SA card tonight but have put together a speculative double for the two 23.00 KO’s – the focus is team goals for the home teams.

What am I missing with Sevilla and Villarreal? The odds for home wins are rather high.

Harrybaines, amazing stuff to go from 30 to 1000 like, that.

superjim. Villarreal nothing to play for and Sevilla facing a side fighting for their lives and of course their priority is EL final.

Posting my weekend bets up now because I think the prices will change before KO for some of them.

    Bet 1:

Toulouse v Troyes over 9.5 corners (Saturday, 8pm)

    5/6 (Bet365)

I am really going to miss Troyes when they go down. They are the corner kings of France, with 12/18 away matches featuring 10 or more, and a further 5 featuring 9. They travel to Toulouse, a team that have to win if they are to avoid relegation. The last meeting saw 16 corners.

    Bet 2:

Volyn v Dnipro over 9.5 corners (Ukraine; Saturday, 3pm)

    8/11 (Bet365)

Small stakes on this one as the season is over for both teams. However, Volyn have been good to me this season, averaging 13 corners per home match, and every home match has seen at least 10 corners.

    Bet 3:

Southampton over 4.5 team corners (Sunday, 1:30pm)

    4/5 (Bet365)

Southampton have to win to keep their European dream alive, and must fancy their chances against a Tottenham side that have faltered lately. They have achieved at least 5 corners in each of their last 3 away matches, and Tottenham have conceded at least 5 corners in their last 3 home matches.
The odds seem very generous and will probably shorten as the weekend goes on, especially as the bookies are being so tight on team corner lines lately.

    Bet 4:

    Over 9.5 corners 4-fold:

    Sunderland v Chelsea (Saturday, 3pm)
    Zwolle v PSV (Sunday, 1:30pm)
    Tottenham v Southampton (Sunday, 1:30pm)
Real Sociedad v Rayo Vallecano (Sunday, 4pm)

    Pays over 3/1 (Bet365)

    Mls game looks tasty

    • stubhoy 2 years ago

Dont think so @gowzzer mate Not with 365 anyway
Good result tonight for Utd. Pity they never showed that form through season .

      • gowzzer 2 years ago

I was saying to the boys at work that utd would show up and win tonight. Too little, too late. Wished they pulled out a performance like that on Monday.
Wonder how many teams have relegated their rivals.
        * Pud question *

      • harrybaines 2 years ago

I want the cards option aswell. Id say there will be a red card if i could

Why are there very little matches avalible for the card bets? @gowzzer @stubhoy
