IT'S been three out of four Saturday trebles so the season is ending well. But the card looks tougher on Saturday and while I said earlier the best bet would be to back sides with something to play for I've picked two who can relax this weekend.

My thinking behind backing Bolton and Peterborough will be explained but team news will be vital so it might be better holding back until nearer kick-off.

So let's start with Bolton who are up against a Birmingham side who slumped into the drop zone and must better the result of Doncaster, Millwall or Blackpool to stay up.

Lee Clark's men will believe a win will save their skins but they've shown no signs of improvement in losing six in a row and face a Bolton side unbeaten in six despite having nothing to play for. I'm happy to risk Bolton at a big price.

Next I'm on Peterborough to beat Port Vale and again the line-up Darren Ferguson picks will be crucial. Peterborough clinched a play-off spot with four-goal wins against Shrewsbury and Carlisle. They seem to be a streaky side and while Ferguson may want to protect key men he won't want to enter the play-offs with a damaging defeat.

Vale are 13 points behind Posh and have lost three out of four with again nothing to play for.

Complete the treble with a side who do have something to fight for and that's Ayr United who will clinch a play-off spot with a win at home to East Fife. Ayr were the only side out of 11 selections on my treble, homes and aways who didn't win but I'm giving them a second chance.

They are a bit of a sleeping giant but making it to the Championship with the likes of Rangers and Hearts could bring the club back to life. A draw could see them clinch their spot but only a win will guarantee it and I think they'll get it.
