IT'S D-Day for Phil Taylor, Gary Anderson and Peter Wright in the final round of the Betway Premier League tonight.

Two of them are bidding to qualify for the semi-finals alongside Dutch stars Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld.

Anderson and Wright have tough tasks as they take on the Dutch masters Barney and MVG respectively while Taylor should beat Robert Thornton. There's a bit of history between Wright and MVG and no doubt the table-topper will want to put the Scot in his place.

First up it's Dave Chisnal v Adrian Lewis which is the only tie that means nothing and as usual it depends which Lewis turns up and he is the hot favourite.

This is also the thread to put up golf tips this week with the Spanish Open and Byron Nelson Championship the latest events. Golf tipster Ace Venturer is ill but he's managed to text me his selections.

Last week his headline tip for the Players Championship was 4pts each way on Sergio Garcia and the Spaniard did the business by finishing third at Sawgrass. He's on Garcia again as he returns home to compete in his home event at Girona. And having had a quick look at the Racing Post it's good to see two of his men Jimmy Walker and Gregory Bourdy tipped up – and it's purely coincidence because Ace texted me his picks yesterday morning.

So put all all your sports thoughts and tips here – especially on the darts.

Ace Venturer's golf tips

Bryon Nelson

Gary Woodland ew 33-1 Coral

Jimmy Walker ew 22-1 Betfred

Jordan Spieth ew 12-1 (various)

Spanish Open

Sergio Garcia 5-1 (various)

Gregory Bourdy ew 33-1 (Betfred)

I have studied all the form and recent odds for the darts tonight here is what I found.

    NO BET :-)

I will be having my eyebrows shaped tonight and my nasal hairs plucked as I have an important meeting in the morning, with the Russians.

  4. frago 10 years ago

Hog away john b, doing okay? They’ve been second to none! However unfortunately I won’t be on this one as cannot see a Chisnall victory, lewis looks like he has a point to prove, unbeaten in his last 2 pl games, I can’t see that changing tonight. I hope am wrong and it comes up for you though! Already on anderson at 16s, 8s at this stage is a great price though! Good luck.

Cycling: Giro d’Italia stage 6 result

    EVANS v Uran
    CUNEGO v Sanchez
    Double @ 2.31 LOST

    MATTHEWS v Hagen
    ROLLAND v Pirazzi
    Double @ 2.80 WIN!

Cunego let us down today and I think he was one of the many who crashed just before the last climb. But the other double won, so I’m happy.

I think there will be a sprint tomorrow, but I will have to check the stage and if all riders are still ok.

5 out of 7 bets for the Giro so far, will be back with some new plays tonight.

Gone for a 180’s 4 fold on the darts. Safer than betting on the outcome and can run to the last leg…

Lewis over 3.5 180’s @1/1. Jackpot had been in slightly better form in his last coupla games and knows how to whack in the 180’s.

Anderson over 3.5 180’s @ 6/4. Ando is playing well and pushing for the play off. Used to be a180 machine but is better at finishing these days.

Phil Taylor over 2.5 180’s @ 5/6. A coupla years back you would never have got his 180 line set at 2.5 it woulda been 4.5. But he’s playing for the play offs and should cover the line. He is the Power after all.

Peter Wright over 2.5 180’s @ 6/5. Snakebite has covered this his last coupla games and this is a bit of a grudge match which should make him play better.

£5 on the four returns £100.

  9. Bingo 10 years ago

First part of the 4 fold in after 5 legs. Jackpot has whacked in 5 so far…

  10. Youngy 10 years ago

Unlucky JohnB with the darts, chisnall just played some very poor darts

  11. johnb 10 years ago

Yeah thought Chisnall & Lewis both played bad & Anderson made it hard for himself but in the end 7-4 was good enough

  12. Max 10 years ago

Quality Shout Bingo I had the first two in a 20 pound double returned 85! Didnt fancy wright or Taylor but cheers for the post mate!

  13. Bingo 10 years ago

No probs Max mate. Going for the 180’s gives it a bit of extra excitement when you’re watching the arras. Reckon the over 2.5’s for the next 2 is in with a good shout… Hopefully!!!

  14. Max 10 years ago

Might do another small stakes double then! Have made some, just small stakes! Cheers pal

  15. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Anyone got site to check stats in games so far?? Or tell me how many 180’s so far

  16. Max 10 years ago

I Don’t know any my friend! Im watching it live what you after??

  17. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Just the 180’s if the 1st 2 games Max, done the #PaddyPPileup comp and need 20 180’s & 40 legs out tge 4 games. Free comp on twitter throu paddy power 8 in this game already so not looking likely plus probably need 6-2 win in last game

  18. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Scrap that, will need a white wash so no chance :)

  19. misafir 10 years ago

    BINGO

just the last one, was on your tip :)

  20. Bingo 10 years ago

Go on the Power. Last chance at a 180 and he does the business. C’mon Snakebite!!! Over 2.5 180’s son!!! Good stuff Misafir mate. Wright and MVG don’t like each other so hopefully they’re both going for it. No pressure on either…

  21. Max 10 years ago

Incredible Bingo!!!! the 180 came just at the right time!!!

  22. Bingo 10 years ago

It gives you a chance right to the last Max mate. I was waiting on MVG a coupla weeks back for over 3.5 180’s to bring in a 4 fold for £140 for a£10 stake and he whacked in 2 in the last leg!!!

  23. Bingo 10 years ago

    http://www.pdc-darts.co.uk/betway-premier-league-darts-week-15/ for the stats Craig

  24. Dg 10 years ago

Nice one Bingo. Good call john B on Anderson -2.5. Well done lads

  25. frago 10 years ago

Craig if you go on bet365 inplay and click on the darts, then the live game it will give you stats including 180s for both players.

  26. przemm 10 years ago

guys can you tell me what this bet means? Over – Phil Taylor 180s 2 Bands (2.5)

  27. przemm 10 years ago

because I thought it is over 2.5 180s to be hit by Taylor but the bet appears as lost and he hit 3

  28. misafir 10 years ago

Unlucky bingo, that was very close

  29. Bingo 10 years ago

Snakebite gubs the 4 fold getting only 2 180’s. He hit a right few 140’s as well… Przeem if you had over 2.5 then your bets a winner mate. Taylor got 3 180’s.

  30. John 10 years ago

I got my docket and threw it in the fire halfway through the game as i sort of knew Wright wasn’t going to hit another 180, his darts weren’t bad though :-)

  31. Bingo 10 years ago

Shoulda taken over 3.5’s on Lewis, Anderson, Thornton and MVG. Overs on the180’s is the way forward on the arras…

  32. watabanker 10 years ago

Guys a done a bet of chisnall+2.5 legs is that a losing line plz help

  33. przemm 10 years ago

Thanks Bingo, yes I saw Taylor’s 3 180s with my own eyes but I have my bet settled with the status Lost

  34. przemm 10 years ago

watabanker, that would be a loser mate

  35. watabanker 10 years ago

cheers przemm ack well btr luck 2mara

    Cycling: Giro d’Italia stage 7

It’s a difficult stage tomorrow with two small climbs, but it goes up and down all day long. The last 40 km are flat, so the teams of the sprinters want to keep it together for a peloton sprint.

I have these match-ups (best finishing position) for tomorrow, winner in capitals:

    FERRARI v Chicci
    BOASSON HAGEN v Petacchi

    Double @ 2.31
    Price with Unibet

In the 3 previous sprints Ferrari finished in front of Chicci. As it is a difficult stage it’s the question if Chicci has power left to sprint. Ferrari already showed earlier in the season he has a good sprint after a hard day in the h-i-l-l-s.

Boasson Hagen is the lead out man for their main sprinter Ben Swift. If he has driven Swift to the front to make his final sprint he always sprints along with the rest of the pack. Petacchi doesn’t do this and I think he will let the sprint go as he did the last couple of days.

I already mentioned Swift. He together with Bouhanni and Viviani will be the big favourites to win tomorrow. I think these 3 will get onto the podium, so I will play below single.

    SWIFT v Nizzolo @ 2.20

    Price with Unibet

  37. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Sometimes I hate myself, both bets lost. A lot of thinking from a shortlist and eventually made the wrong decisions. But onto tomorrow ;)

  38. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Am I going to talk to myself? Yes, no problem.

    Giro d’Italia stage 8

This is going to be a stage that shapes up the GC. Two really hard climbs today and all riders have to be ready for the first serious test.

I have below match-ups for tomorrow, winner in capitals:

    URAN v Pozzovivo
    ULISSI v Arredondo

    Double @ 3.33

  39. davie t 10 years ago

hi mr orange not sure about your picks today! pozzovivo and arrendondo are both excellent climbers. I know arrendondo lost a massive amount of time the other day, but was caught up in the crash.what are your thaughts on nairo Quintana to win the king of the mountains at 5/2 he is also evens with betfred for the giro thanks davie.

    • Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Hi Davie, it was a bit of a risk to take Ulissi in front of Arredondo. But Arredondo has nothing to ride for as he lost about 20 mins last week. So he will only ride for stage wins like today. Ulissi didn’t suprise me as he has shown he can take these big mountain stages in last years Vuelta.

    • Mr. Orange 10 years ago

And I don’t think Quintana will win the king of the mountains jersey. He only rides to win or get onto the podium, it’s not his main goal but he can end up with the jersey. I think guys like Pirazzi will try to snatch all the points in front of him.

    • davie t 10 years ago

hi mr orange yeah seen arrendondo was 20 min down backed trek for the team classification, thats bust. luckly backed arrendondo for king of the mountains at 14s yesterday he had an excellent ride and dropped everybody in the break so I hope he can handle the last week as it is very hard, will be on ulissi today was very surprised how well he climbed for an all rounder yesterday Moreno looked good aswell but went to early

  40. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

Also will play this Polish vs Italian double:

    MAJKA v Scarponi
    NIEMIEC v Pellizotti

  41. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

My main bet won today. Arredondo was in the break away all day but didn’t make it in the end. Uran was only one position in front of Pozzovivo, but it’s a win.

Really disappointed in Niemiec who let me down in the other bet. But we learn from the results and will be back with some new match-ups for tomorrow.

    URAN v Pozzovivo
    ULISSI v Arredondo

    Double @ 3.33 WIN!

    MAJKA v Scarponi
    NIEMIEC v Pellizotti LOST

  42. Mr. Orange 10 years ago

    Giro d’Italia stage 9

No time for a big write up. But I will be on these match-ups:

    MAJKA v Aru
    ULISSI v Moreno

    Double @ 2.13
