IT'S another busy night of US sports with ice hockey and basketball the main events.
But remember you can use this thread for rugby and darts and I've not spotted many tips for the Six Nations or the UK Open today.
NHL action starts at 8pm with Colorado v St Louis and Ottawa v Winnipeg while in basketball the NBA action resumes at 12.30am with NY Knicks at Cleveland.
In the Six Nations it's Scotland v France at 5pm and I'll watch the start to see how my boys are faring.

I’ve got a £2K 9 fold still in reach at the moment 4 teams winning the rest at 0-0, and a £100 6 fold secured if Barcelona and Chelsea pull through at the moment. Random info I know but that will effect the size of my stakes tonight.
None the less Ice Hockey there is match-ups I like tonight that being the Bruins vs Tampa Bay Lightning, Bruins have won 7 more games than Tampa lost 7 less and played one less whilst on a 3 game win streak whereas Tampa are on a 3 game losing streak. Boston record is substantially better, I’m thinking an easy win here at 5/6.
San Jose Sharks vs Montreal Canadians, Sharks record is 40 wins and 17 losses, Canadians are 35 wins and 23 losses, having just lost to the around about average Phoenix Coyotes I fancy the Sharks in this one who are one of the better teams this year at 10/19.
Colorado vs St Louis blues both teams are averaging over 5 goals per game, Colorado is 4th in western conference with a record of 41 wins and 22 losses, St Louis Blues are 42 wins and 20 losses. Colorado have scored over 4 goals ish for the last 5 games played. St Louis Blues have the upper hand in this fixture with earlier wins in the season coming at 7-1 and 4-1. I like the chances of this game being over 4.5 goals if you can get it, however on williamhill they’ve got under 5.5 or over I’m going to go with under at 20/27 since both teams are near enough identical with records or you could go with a St Louis Blues win at 5/6.
Next one is Calgary flames vs Vancouver, last 10 games Calgary has gone 6-4 and Vancouver has gone 1-8-1, I just see the Flames winning this gut feeling as well as it being at great value to stack on an accumulator. 6/4 for the Win.
Easiest this weekend for me though is the Chicago Blackhawks vs Buffalo Sabres, Blackhawks are 37-13 whilst the Sabres are 19-36 make sure you include this in an accumulator.

Anyone got any thoughts on the UFC. Live from the O2 tonight. I like the look of the double of Michael Johnson to beat Melvin Guillard and Gustaffsson to win by KO. Gustaffsson beat Jon Jones in my opinion, in what was one of the greatest fights ever!!! I watch UFC on BT Sport whenever its on and think this double is good bet, but im no expert!! Anyone got any thoughts?
When you look at Gustaffsson you`d think he got lost and ended up in the octagon. Tall, blond,lanky bloke (my 8 years old daughter says he look nerdy), no visible muscle on his body, no biceps at all…looks more like member of Abba, then fighter…

My NCAA NAP lost by 2 points tonight. At the beginning of the second half Kansas were up by 9 points and it fell from there when they began giving the ball away only to put in the fight towards the end but it was too late. It was a decent run for me with NCAA NAP wins in 2 out of 3 nights.

So quick explanation, the caps have lost 3 straight and have been poor but they’re playing at home against a slightly lesser team than the last few they’ve played. They’ve also just made a much needed trade for a goaltender! Bringing in Halak will give them stability between the pipes and hopefully can inspire a few struggling players to pick there game up! And quickly on the sharks. They’re shit hot at home in the shark tank and when they’re all fit they are a very dangerous team so we should see them win!

London +36 points v Warrington … London with 36 points because 36 is a hell of a large handicap and while 12 months ago I’d have snapped up Warrington as a banker they’ve lost a lot of quality on the close season, especially lee briers who’s kicking game hasn’t been even closely matched. I have no doubt Warrington will win but by maybe 18-26 points max
Wakefield v Catalans +6 10/11 …. Yet again I’ve gone for the team with the start, Catalan last season would have had a -18 handicap here and have started this campaign very slowly, however have been up against a lot better opposition than this Wakefield team who are one of the weakest in the league, i expect a close game but I can see either team sneaking it, so with a 6 start Catalan are a great shout.
Castleford v Wigan -8 …. I wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole. Cas have started well, Wigan are unpredictable as have such a different line up to last season, while I expect Wigan to walk it, there is something telling me there could be an upset.

@Rusty, have Raptors +4.5 and Massachussets -3 myself as well. Toronto is underrated whereas St. Louis seems to have lost it, losing three straight including two ugly home losses to Duquesne (and maybe a less ugly one) versus Dayton.
I’m also on St Joe’s -8 versus La Salle (they are 1-10 ATS as the underdog this season), Brooklyn -7 versus Sacramento and Penn State +7 @ Minnesota (Just 1 conference win seperates these teams, and Penn State has a better record in its last 10 games than Minnesota, +7 is very generous imo)

BRUINS (41-17-5) at PANTHERS (24-32-7) Obvious win for the Bruins here, this is both teams last 10 records 7-1-2; Florida 3-7-0. Boston having lost once unlikely to slip up here in my eyes.
BLACKHAWKS (37-13-14) at SABRES (19-36-8) In terms of records and previous h2h this season Blackhawks take the cake, however after the Olympic break the Hawks have gone 2-2 and the Sabres are 4-2. With Hawks last 10 looking at 5-3-2 and the Sabres 4-6-0 there maybe potential for an upset if you guys like something which may boost an accumulator nicely. However I’m going Blackhawks.
KINGS (36-22-6) at OILERS (22-34-8) Kings looking to make it 7 wins straight, which by records may look easy however Oilers have been resurgent as of late with a 6-2-2 record in there last 10. The Kings have been the leagues best defensively with them only conceding 2.05 goals per game average, so it might be worth a unders 5.5 bet on this game if you aren’t confident in them to win. I still like the Kings strongly here.
BLUES (43-14-6) at WILD (34-22-7) Since the blues have acquired Miller they scare me almost untouchable at times, Last 10: St. Louis 7-2-1; Minnesota 6-2-2 however St. Louis have won the last 7 meetings between these two and I expect that 100% to continue tonight.

After all these ‘Top Team’ losing streaks, with an exhausted Durant whose been pretty much solo’ing it all season with Ibaka appearing here and there, a still fresh Westbrook playing against the team he watched and adored growing up, Lakers camp knowing it’s been an embarassing show defensively the past games, it didn’t strike you even just a bit to think there would be a possible upset? japkey I watched that game, it was madness. Harden hit the 3 pointer when it mattered most and Jeremy Lin was a valueable contributor too. Felt they deserved to win after the refs reviewed the out of bounds video in the last seconds which clearly showed portland knocked it out, but they still gave the possession back to them.

Couldn’t make it on again yesterday other than my quick fourfold:) don’t know if any of you got it co doesn’t seem to make the cut for the good tipsters list but it came in at 6/1 :) so that 4 days on a row I’ve had odds of more than 4/1 come in :) also 6 profitable days out of 6 so far :) let this continue! .. oak, i fancy the kings and avalanche as you can see by my fourfold but i havent really looked at basketball as decided to stick to NHL and then MLB when season starts

I think this game has potential for upset, my gut is telling me Maple Leafs for some apparent reason but my head is saying Ducks because they won earlier in the season. Unless you want a nice boost in the accumulator I’d stick with the Ducks as they should win just recent form is starting to falter a little.

The Kings came up big for me last night, I said they would win 7 straight making them the hottest team in the league, I have no reason to make me think that they won’t make it 8 here. The only thing is Calgary won the first two games against them earlier in the season and the Kings did get one back later so the h2h is 2-1, someone looking for upset value could look here. I’m going Kings tonight though people.

Practically the same win margin the 3rd numeric is OT win, the Penguins are fighting for the number 1 against my Bruins, they’ve won the previous two h2h this year against the capitals also. However Capitals are in win now mode and can’t afford anymore hiccups, I’m going with the Penguins.

I did indeed back them as singles! i always do because if the accumulator fails by just 1 i can still be in profit with the singles :)
