NORTHERN IRELAND won't beat Germany but can still qualify by avoiding a heavy defeat.

Michael O'Neill's men were superb against Ukraine after freezing in their opener with Poland but now face their toughest task.

Germany haven't been at their best but will surely break through what will be a packed defence as the Irish dream of a 0-0 draw or even 1-0 defeat that could be good enough for one of the best third places.

The world champions are too short to back at 2-7 with Ladbrokes and William Hill but I like under 2.5 goals at 21-20 with Coral and Joachim Low's men to win to nil at 4-5 with McBookie and Ladbrokes.

Ukraine are out after 2-0 defeats to Germany and Northern Ireland so it's hard to see how they can lift themselves for a meeting with Poland.

They have now lost four Euro finals matches in a row without scoring and Poland are 21-10 at McBookie to win to nil.

Poland came into the tournament hoping star man Robert Lewandowski would see them through but the Bayern Munich star hasn't had a sniff.

Lewandowski netted 13 in qualifying so will fancy his chances against the tournament's weakest defence and I can see him netting at 6-4 with Stan James – and that compares to 8-11 at Paddy Power.

Just to win the Poles are 1-1 with firms including Ladbrokes and bet365 and that's worth taking too.
