TopTips_Ladbrokes

I POSTED a betting preview last night and most of the reasoning for tonight's tips are on that thread.

As well as Super Single shortlist I put up sides likely to feature on the Top Treble and I've decided to go with Derby, Brentford and QPR with Reading my next best and Man Utd in there but maybe just too short.

Derby need to get going again after one win in four in the Championship and a visit from Yeovil gives them a great chance. QPR tackle a Bolton side who have conceded 13 goals in their last two away games in the league.

At home their defence has been fine but 7-1 and 5-3 losses at Reading and Leicester suggest they'll struggle to live with a QPR side back on track with three league wins in a row.

I contined my Super Single experiment by asking site users to vote for their favourite from my shortlist of Newcastle, Juan Mata (Man Utd) to score, Hull, Arsenal to score 2+, Orient and Billy Sharp (Doncaster) to score.

Of those Arsenal 2+ or even just an Arsenal win, Orient at home to Coventry and Sharp were my preferences and an overwhelming number went for the Gunners.

Just under 60 per cent took Arsenal 2+ or Arsenal to win and as the prices are similar I'll for Arsenal which gives us the 1-0 but of course not a 2-2 for example. All the other picks – except Hull – picked up 10 per cent of the votes.

I'm also taking the Gunners at Southampton on an aways Trixie. They haven't lost to Saints since 2002 and the home men have struggled against top-half sides this season.

Add Leicester, trying to make it six Championship wins in a row, at Leicester and after the Northampton-Rochdale postponement I've added on-form Rotherham at Tranmere.

With so many games I've decided to throw a speculative fiver or tenner on five sides I like all priced round about evens. It includes Arsenal and Leicester plus Orient at home to Coventry, Reading at home to Blackpool and Walsall at home to Swindon.

Newcastle has it for me today, what u think about reading match today @1.80 mr fix?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mr.drizzy, Reading should win but you have to factor in Barry Ferguson in the Blackpool dugout. He’s a Daily Record columnist so I’ve been reading a lot about his work at Blackpool and his enthusiasm for the job comes across strongly. By all accounts they played well against Doncaster at the weekend but will be tough against a Reading side who hit seven at home to Bolton and who have been decent at the Madjeski all season.

    My ss for the day will be;

Supersport United to beat Amazulu @10/11

    South Africa league at 5.30

Supersport are coming into this game off the back of a great away victory against Orlando Pirates.
They recently strengthened their squad with two new signings. One of which(Dino Ndlovu, from Maccabi haifa) scored on his debut in the last match.
I expect Amazulu will settle for a point so hopefully Supersport can break the deadlock sooner rather than later.
They have a great trio of forwards to choose from so my moneys on them to do so.

    Correct score 1-0 @11/2

  12. John 10 years ago

Probably a silly question to ask but who is Billy Sharp? He’s only played 1 game and scored 1 so i’m most likely missing something as to why a few on here are rating him

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

John, Sharp was a prolific scorer for Doncaster and that earned him a near £2million move to Southampton. Started well there then dropped out of favour. His whole career he’s averaged a goal every two games and is back at his beloved Doncaster.

  13. Ad 10 years ago

Looking at goalscorers today, how about giroud @ 4/1 first and 5/4 anytime. And Aguero @ 10/3 first and 4/5 anytime.
Giroud found the net in his 5 minute cameo against coventry at the weekend and scored both the goals against the saints in the reverse fixture 2 months ago.
Aguero scored a hat trick in city’s comeback win against watford and hit two in city’s 6-0 demolition of spurs at the etihad

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ad, Giroud always has a chance. I’ll look at Wednesday games tonight and tomorrow.

  14. El Diamondo 10 years ago

  16. Danny 10 years ago

Why anyone would back my team Hull I’ll never know! We’re so unpredictable; losing 1-0 at home to Palace, winning at Newcastle, smashing Fulham 6-0, losing at Norwich, beating Liverpool – yes we’re likely to start Jelavic and Long but Pulis is running a tight ship at Palace and I’d gladly take a draw right now as we’re not in the best of form.

    Southampton vs arsenal

    team news(Southampton)
Victor Wanyama is unlikely to return just yet, but is in with an outside chance.
Pablo Osvaldo has been suspended by the club and continues to miss out.
Dejan Lovren is out with ligament damage, while Boruc is fine to return to the starting lineup.

    Arsenal team news
Arsenal’s injury problems are subsiding and they have a near fully fit squad as more players return to action.
Arsene Wenger thus has a selection dilemma in midfield, with Aaron Ramsey on his way back and the likes of Flamini, Wilshere and Arteta all vying for places.
Walcott is the Gunners’ only significant injury absentee.

    final Verdict ,
After both teams cruised through the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend, Arsenal face a tough trip to Southampton here.
The Gunners still sit atop the Premier League but Manchester City and Chelsea are hot on their tails. They have an extremely tough February and March fixture list so cannot afford to go dropping any points in games like this one.
Southampton have fallen way down to 9th in the table, and while they are not in danger of a relegation battle, they would still prefer to push for a higher finish than just settle for middle of the table. Here, they will certainly go for the win but are unlikely to have enough to manage one.
Arsenal to win 1-3 or 1-2 exact score

    Afternoon folks,

From a fans perspective hoping Cardiff defend the area with a vengeance tonight but probably a futile hope, far less organised since mackay left. From a tipping perspective seems as though the weather may play a major part once again.

Good night for a speculative bet because anything could happen. Had a nice Crawley write up but that one is off. Instead I’m looking at the top 3 in the championship for a nice looking treble or trixie, possibly with orient replacing burnley.

    Brentford v Bristol City

Brentford won 10 home games on the trot in the league and are top by 2 points having played a game more than Orient, 4/6 for the win is huge. Also 16 match unbeaten run H & A.
Bristol City are 2nd bottom after winning only once away in 12 this season.
I’m going to be cautious on this tho as the odds let and take the less risky option of draw no bet at 2/7. As low as 2/9 & 1/5 elsewhere.

    £46.20 returns £59.40 @BetVictor

    Oooft, nice card tonight!!!

I like a lot of the mentions above and will have a five fold featuring the likes of Leicester, Arsenal, Brentford but how about…

Colchester at home to Shrewsbury? The Shrews have lost 4 on the spin conceding 11 in the process while Colchester sit 10 places above them and have very decent form, won 4, drawn 1 lost 1. I can’t believe the price of 6/5 at William hill. A super single for me as well as maybe sneaking into my fivefold.

Hi guys, advice needed please, was looking at the Al Aribi Doha game and it was 3-6 to the away side in the 94th minute, I looked at the goal markets and for no 10th goal it was 14/1 and obviously this must have been a mistake on the bookies part but I stook a quid on anyway and the bet was placed successfully, 30 seconds later it said full time 3-6 so should the bookie have to honour their odds or not? What will happen please?

Afternoon Guys, Starting off with my Super Single and that is Arsenal 21/20 to beat Southampton. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 9 meetings with the Saints, and are starting to get players back, whilst the saints are slipping down the table and have problems off the field.

Another team who I think will win tonight is Doncaster. Now it is not very often I will be on betting on Rovers but tonight I want to be with them. Charlton have dropped into the bottom 3 and have failed to win their last 6 away games. Doncaster are hardly pulling up trees but with Charlton poor away form and the return of Billy Sharp I think Doncaster are worth taking at 9/5 Various.

Speaking of Billy Sharp, Raaljaca highlighted him last week and he duly scored at the weekend, and I think he will score in front of his home fans on his return. He is 2/1 Betfred.

In League 1 Brentford are flying picking up 44 points from a possible 48. They face struggling Bristol City who have one away win all season. Brentford are led by Clayton Donaldson, a prolific scorer at this level, he already as 13 goals this season and I will be on him tonight as Brentford continue to pick up the points. He is 6/5 Bet365.

No doubt what the biggest math of the night is and that’s the Merseyside derby. Form book counts for nothing in derbies, but I fancy the home side here. Everton are starting to pick up injuries, Oviedo, Barkley, Kone, Coleman are all out while Pienaar is a big doubt. Another reason I like Liverpool here is the form of Suarez this season, he has also netted in 3 of his 4 Merseyside derbies, he is 4/5 Boylesport.

*I mentioned yesterday Betfred are going 4/1 Liverpool to win, this is for new customers only and the max stake is £10, if you haven’t got a Betfred account and like me fancy Liverpool then don’t miss out.

    DONCASTER TO BEAT CHARLTON 9/5
    LIVERPOOL TO BEAT EVERTON 4/1*
    SHARP TO SCORE 2/1
    DONALDSON TO SCORE 6/5
    SUAREZ TO SCORE 4/5

Sky sports fantasy this is haha

    COLCHESTER P-P SHREWSBURY

This game is off so I’ll go to my shortlist and select the next best.

EXETER CITY V OXFORD UNITED 7:45pm

Now, I know that Chris Wilder has recently departed from Oxford to take over at Northampton but that doesn’t always equal a dip in form, just look at Brentford for example. Oxford are unbeaten away from home all season and come up against an Exeter side that have lost 5 of their last 6 home matches. I don’t often go for straight wins, hence why this was only top of my shortlist. But Oxford to win at 13/8 seems like a very good price, even considering the managerial upheaval at the club. They’ll be going for a 8th away win of the season and I can see them doing it here against a very poor Exeter side and with the promotion race so close at the moment, Oxford cannot afford to drop points here.

    TIP:
    Oxford – 13/8

  76. Grant 10 years ago

Yeah think I’ll take Giroud out. Was thinking Van Persie as don’t think many will think about him, I’m on the sun so you only get one chance.

  77. Nathan 10 years ago

i fancy derby @ -1, i think theyre 11/10 with bet 365, i know theyre 11/4 for -2. I can see a lot of goals in this game. If we can’t beat yeovil at home by at least a couple of goals then we will be out of the running completely for an automatic promotion slot.
even though hendrick was injured after 25 mins and replaced with a rested will hughes, its no big deal. the game was transformed and although blackburn scored right after the break, it was all derby in the 2nd half against a good blackburn side. Bamford on loan from chelsea has came off the bench in the last 3 and scored twice. As jamie ward has not been firing on all cylinders for a couple of months now, I believe Bamford is expected to start. EXPECT HIM ON THE SCORESHEET because that lad is going places !!

  90. The UHT 10 years ago

I had five games I really liked on tonight’s non-league card last night, and I thought I might have a job cutting them down to a treble. However, the weather’s helped me out here with four postponements, and I’m left with a nice-looking single…
I wouldn’t mind so much if I hadn’t written up Maidstone and Wealdstone when they were still on…!

    Conference North
    Barrow v Guiseley KO 7.45pm
Two very strong form sides, both won four and drawn one in their last five. But scratch the surface, and Guisely have won 8 of their last 10, and against a far higher callibre of opponent, and so, we’re on them tonight.
    Barrow:
In late November/early December, Barrow played three games at home straight and lost them all, beaten by 3rd away Telford (0-3), 14th away Gainsborough (0-6) and 5th away Solihull (0-2). Since then, they’ve played six, beating worst home and worst away side, the pitiful Workington twice, and winning away at 7th, 8th and 15th. Not terrible, by any means, but all away.
    Guisely:
Meanwhile, Guisely, as noted, have won 8 of their last 10 drawing two, and have won 5 of their last six away, drawing one. Two particularly notable away scalps in that run have been runaway league leaders, North Ferriby, who Guisely beat 3-2, and last time out, a 3-0 win at Solihull – that team’s first home loss of the season. Manager Mark Bower is very upbeat in the post-match interview, praising everyone’s commitment/enthusiasm, and talking about new faces – they’ve just signed Adam Boyes from Gateshead – and feeling confident about managing the playing resources with so many games to come.
Barrow are 19th best home side, and the five teams Guisely have beaten in this recent run are all better than 19th. (Ironically, the draw was at suddenly rampantly improving Worcester, 20th best home side!)
Barrow haven’t played at home for almost a month, but the pitch is in fine condition and the game is definitely on!

    Good. The away is 13/10.

    . . .

    Good luck tonight, everybody!

    DERBY PAYS @22/1

    MY 7 FOLD: £5

    & ARSENAL DRAW PAYS @143/1

The £14 stake is an odd amount, it’s just because I like to keep my balance ending in 0…
Good luck to all of you tonight, anyone backing liverpool I hope we don’t let you down, if you’re backing the draw then.. oh :(

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Sparky, didn’t know they were missing players, just knew they do have a very decent U20 side.

  98. Shaun Tanner 10 years ago

I missed voting for the SS today but Arsenal was not a bad choice at all. I would have gone with Sharp to score anytime myself but I do like to bet a lot on first and anytime scorers so thats why it stood out for me.

I like the top treble today and will definite be on that. I have even done an anytime scorer treble to go with it- Bamford, Austin and Trotta.

My main bets tonight are: the top treble and anytime treble.

Big stakes- first and anytime scorers Sharp(Doncaster) and Bamford(Derby.)I’m also going to go for Man Utd over 2.5 team goals. With Rooney back and Mata + Man Utd at home I can only see a convincing Man utd win here.

Small stakes- first and anytime scorers Mata (Man utd) and Bony (Swansea.)

    Good luck tonights everyone!

OXFORD to win at Exeter @ 17/10 betvictor

Exeter have just 1 win in the last 6, which came away to struggling Torquay. Their home record is terrible with just 2 wins in the last 10 (D1 L7), and you have to back as far as the 4th October to their last win at home.

Oxford are in good form away from home this season (P15 W9 D5 L1), their only away day defeat came in the Capital One Cup against Charlton way back in August.

The 17/10 on offer looks a cracking price. On the double chance Oxford are 4/9 if you want to cover the draw

    • Sparky 10 years ago

You know Oxfords manager quit yesterday to take over at Northampton!

    • cooldude 10 years ago

I already have €100 on. just wanted your thoughts.

Don’t understand why people don’t just google these terms. But draw no bet means bet is void if match is a draw, so u get ur money back!

  103. Sparky 10 years ago

  104. Davie-S 10 years ago

RVP and Mata start Rooney on the bench

  105. Damo 10 years ago

Van Persie starts. Was holding off to see if Van Persie or Rooney would actually start but I reckon I’ll start looking at the goals market for Man U game. I can see a big win for Man Utd as surely it must be the first time in a while there is a good feeling about the place. Gonna have a small dabble with the following

Man Utd over 2.5 team goals 1/1
Man utd over 3.5 team goals 5/2
Van Persie fgs 0-20 mins 8-1

  106. Sparky 10 years ago

  109. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Thoughts on tonight’s matches gents, apologies if these have already been covered!

    York v Chesterfield

The visitors travel here 16 points better of than the hosts and can hit top spot with a win tonight! Chesterfield have a terrific record against York and are unbeaten in the last 13 matches! ( 9 wins 4 draws) and have scored 2 or more against them in 6 of the last 7!

York are decent at home but there’s a huge incentive for Chesterfield to go out and win this!

    Back Chesterfield 5/4
Over 1.5 Chesterfield team goals 6/5

    Carlise v MKD

7 of the hosts last 9 have seen over 2.5 goals with 9 of the last 11 seeing both teams score! 8 of the last 11 meetings between these has seen over 2.5 goals! MKD are no stranger to goals either with 11 of their last 14 seeing over 2.5 goals! We should see some tonight!

    Back over 2.5 goals 4/5

    Bristol Rovers v Accrington

Rovers have been strong at home recently scoring two or more in 5 of their last 7! Accringtona last 7 has seen both teams score! Given the visitors leaky defence but ability to score should see them so their part while Rovers are good for a goal at home!

Back over 1.5 Bristol rovers team goal 1/1
    Both teams to score 10/11

    Both teams to score

    Brentford v Bristol City
    Carlise v MKD
    Tranmere v Rotherham

    Small stakes:

Man U to score 3 or more
Walsall to score 2 or more

  110. AL 10 years ago

Yeah sparky the Oxford manager Chris Wilder left this week, the rest of the backroom staff remain there. Mickey Lewis, who was Wilder’s no 2, is in charge of the team tonight so I’d imagine there wont be major changes in team selection or tactics.

Giving the £10 – £1000 Challenge another bash tonight

Exeter v Oxford Utd – DRAW OR OXFORD UTD @ 12/25
    Real Madrid V Espanyol – OVER 0.5 FHG @ 2/9

  112. Alex 10 years ago

Iceland match kicks off at 8pm, assumed Greg would have said something so am leaving it until now to put up!

    Stjarnan v FH 8:00pm

The 14 meetings between these sides have produced a lot of goals – 57 to be precise. In this years cup competition, each team has played 3 matches. Stjarnan’s matches have seen 15 goals and FH’s 3 matches have also seen 15 goals. This match is screaming goals. That’s why I’m going to do a Greg here and go for his markets.

    Over 1.5 first half goals – 11/10
    Over 3.5 match goals – 10/11

Adjusted stakes and they both pay EVENS, so if one comes in we’re square, if both come in, we double!

  113. Damo 10 years ago

Van persie fgs in 0-20mins cut to 6s pretty quickly. Just managed to get 8s but reckon values edging towards a bit on the thin side at 6s.

“Giving the £10 – £1000 Challenge another bash tonight”

    What is that?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Oak, you start with £10 and back short price bets and each time you win you then put the full amount on the next bet until you win £1000. AL did his last one and reached over £700 but decided to bank most of it, rightly so!

    • oak 10 years ago

That sounds cool…but far away from reality for me ;)

  119. robroy85 10 years ago

aside from mata and rvp, the united team is weak tonight. Giggs, Valencia and Young are on, which doesnt bode well. I think United will win, but i’ll put a fiver on both teams to score, and Campbell to score anytime which are both surprisingly high prices!

  154. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Sparky, Raal, I think he was signed purely based in his performance when we won 3-1 at Easter road and Vine scored two, think that was the last time he had a decent game, haha!

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Greg u can have viney back and ill throw liam craig in too! lost my voice on Sunday shouting at liam Craig. dragging our youngsters down he is with his errant passing! Sprays it everywhere except where its meant to go!!

  155. Alex 10 years ago

Liverpool 3-0 Everton is a hell of a match to watch, Liverpool are flying now.

First half was a really good half, already 2 bets in and the potential for 3 or more is looking very good indeed!

    Thank you Carlisle!

    • Davie-S 10 years ago

I’m with you on the Carlisle bet Alex, Brentford bet up, need Man U -1 looking not to bad at HT…

  168. PeteT 10 years ago

2 mins in to the second half with Arsenal scoring – in my opinion almost better than a 45th min goal as that should unsettle Southampton and put them on the backfoot – I hope…..!

  183. Alan 10 years ago

Come on you Arse! Over 1.5 team goals 11/10

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Alan, well the Super Single was originally Arsenal 2+ but of course I’ve given the site users the shout so hopefully they’ll have sorted it out now.

    • Alan 10 years ago

Hopefully they’ll go on to win, as I’ve also got them in a MR + BTTS Yankee.

  184. Bold 10 years ago

I have cashed out bcos of derby costing me my acc.not a major loss, tomorrow is another day

  185. DougieC 10 years ago

raal. get on the phone to Dickov and Wiliams!!! Only need SHARP for nice £5 trixe

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Gonna be one of these nights Dougie. You have a double so far and that is decent mate.

  186. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Since he was handed the captains arm band Sparky all he seems to do is shout and moan at every decision the ref makes! His passing is a bit unorthodox to say the least!

Haha what a plum, that’s a bit if a disaster mate! At what point did you realise it was off?

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Greg. To be fair to Craig he’s not a holding midfielder but in truth I don’t know what he is ! Jack of all trades master of none!

I only realised game was off whilst having something to eat in dundee and I looked on my phone at the website here and mr f made reference to it being off! I’d played golf in edinburgh and not seen a drop of rain yet when I got to the city of discovery! It was peeing down!! :)

  187. Bold 10 years ago

My picks were Man U ,qpr, derby and brentford.derby was a bad choice for my acca

  188. Enda 10 years ago

-1 Liverpool easy money thought mr f would of fancied them

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Enda, did you post Liverpool -1 before the game?

  189. Alan 10 years ago

I’m still smarting from the Scunny fiasco on Saturday. Tonight I have QPR and Brentford HT/FT double @ 5/1+
Just backed draws in both games @ 18/1 & 22/1 to be sure!

  190. Davie-S 10 years ago

Thanks Alex a combination of your tips and my bets and i’m now sitting pretty, only Man U can let me down so covered with Cardiff next goal at 15/2 so good profit either way..

  191. craigdon 10 years ago

Every team sitting pretty, Arsenal doing me in for a 16/1 five timer. Off to back the 2-2 correct score as a wee saver to get something from the night hopefully as its all arsenal now

  192. Lossie jim 10 years ago

12 team accy over tonight and tomorrow, 9 teams tonight, Arsenal and Derby grubbing me!!

    • honda 10 years ago

I would suggest if you cant take the losers then you should not be gambling. I didn’t hit one winner today after all games (albeit for about 2 mins) were up. Just one of those days for me!

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Honda, please dont push my self implode button. I dont need to be told what to do in life or what to quit.

    • honda 10 years ago

My bad cooldude, didn’t mean to cause any offense mate

  202. el tel 10 years ago

    Derbyyyyyyyyyy u beauty

  203. steve o 10 years ago

    Derby you beauties get in

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

steve o, gutted I didn’t take Arsenal 2+ but Derby have helped save the day and hopefully bring up the treble. Also three draws out of four on the Yankee which I’ll always settle for.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Those 3 draws will ensure a very decent overall profit Mr F, hoping Chris had 3 from 4 as well as all 4!

  204. craig alves 10 years ago

waht a comeback, they were 50/1 to win after 84 mins too. Arsenal and Newcastle let me down but Brentford win puts me on £59.40, banking the £50 and start again tomorrow wi the £9.40 as bills to pay at end of month

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Good going Craig, you certainly have got the bank builder sussed mate ;)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mark lawro bbc gets everything right again tonight

  206. Scott 10 years ago

Yes Derby! Brings up the top treble, which I added Manchester United too. 3 of Mr F’s 4 draws have come in as well as 3 out of 5 from Alex (I think) so it’s been a decent night in the end. Could have been so much better if Arsenal had got a winner but I’m in profit so I can’t complain!

  207. Elliott 10 years ago

    Alex you beauty…

Carlisle to score 2 goals – WIN
Reading to score 2 goals – WIN
Arsenal to score 2 goals – WIN
QPR v Bolton over 2.5 goals – WIN
Leyton Orient to score 2 goals (my own pick – lol!)- WIN

    All above evens…

  209. Graeme 10 years ago

Pretty shocked arsenal actually got a draw out of that they were shocking especially in that first half! Was a majority vote SS so the majority can’t moan :)! Those who wanted something else would have done something else! Onwards and upwards can’t wait till January is over ha!!

  210. alanm 10 years ago

Booooooiooooooooom 6 out of 7 and all around evens..

  211. Danny T 10 years ago

Alex devestated we were one arsenal goal away from a big payout for me 816 quid :-( damn arsenal that’s twice the have let me down on ss. Plus side we ate destroying Everton in thederby

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Danny, you have to remember Alex does his bets as singles not accumulators mate. He landed enough tonight to make a small profit but he doesn’t advise accas. If Alex got 5 out of 6 he is well ahead where as an acca would be beaten by the 1 losing bet.

    • Alex 10 years ago

Danny T – As a Hammer, I’ve been bought up not to trust Arsenal, I must remember that in future. Very close tonight though mate, never mind!

  212. Walker2491 10 years ago

    Such a cracking day.

Started with £20 turned it into £200 only betting on tennis

£5 free bet placed on the football 8 team accumulator. Thanks to Derbys late goal £220!

  213. cuttothejase 10 years ago

    Gutted about my accumulators.
    50p correct scores lucky 15:
    MAN UTD – 2-0 WIN
    SWANSEA 2-0 WIN
SOUTHAMPTON 1- 1 ARSENAL CLOSE BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH
    LIVERPOOL 3-1 EVERTON LOSS

STAKE £7.50 RETURNS £38.84 this was more for fun :)

    5 fold: £9 to return £200
    swansea WIN
    qpr WIN
    leicester WIN
    derby WIN (lucky)
newcastle bloody 0-0 what a let down.

    7 fold
    add on liverpool WIN
Arsenal draw WIN £5 TO RETURN £715

Newcastle let me down for a total of £915 but at least I didn’t make a loss :/

  214. Bob H 10 years ago

Nice treble tonight Mr F …Derby comeback makes up for Bologna 91st minute penalty on Sunday

  215. deeky 10 years ago

cashed out after derby made it 2-2 fick could cry!

  216. Hudmystar 10 years ago

Arsenal did me for 400 off a fiver oh we’ll it ain’t easy this betting is it. Villa tomorow got a good feeling benteke looks fit again and he looked back to he’s best against Liverpool last game if vlaar is fit and lambert plays gabby and Weiman supporting I think we should win but it’s a derby which 9 times out of ten means 1.1 draw benteke to score and 1.1 draw 30.1 bet365

  217. el tel 10 years ago

Well done Mr F with your draws. Im pretty sure lawro puts a few quid on his predictions. He does very well , especially predicting draws like yourself.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

El Tel, Lawrenson hates the Scots and we hate him mate :)

  230. cuttothejase 10 years ago

Just figured out I was actually one newcastle goal away from £960, so disappointed

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cuttothejase, Newcastle were on the shortlist but as soon as Cabaye left that was it for me. However, from what I’ve heard they should have won.

  231. adi 10 years ago

hows this for an unlucky line!!!!! I had a 10 fold of man utd, Liverpool, Leicester, derby, qpr, reading, Brentford, leyton orient, real Madrid, and ARSEnal.

absolutely criminal!!!! £10 would have returned nearly £1200!!!!!!

Had money on the treble but more on ARSEnal as the super single!

just not my night I suppose!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

adi, you do a 10fold and one’s always going to let you down. At least perm 9 from 10 if you’re going to do that.

  232. Greg Browning 10 years ago

A decent night turned good thanks to Mr F’s draws! Cheers for those Paul, didn’t take Liverpool but took the other three as doubles and a treble! :)

    Chesterfield 5/4 WIN
Over 1.5 Chesterfield team goals 6/5 WIN
Carlise v MKD over 2.5 goals 4/5 WIN
Over 1.5 Bristol rovers team goal 1/1 Lose

Brentford v Bristol City BTTS 4/6 WIN
Carlise v MKD BTTS 8/11 Lose
Tranmere v Rotherham BTTS 4/5 WIN

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Greg, Liverpool was the least confident pick to be honest but that’s derbies for you. Once I saw the line-ups I’d have favoured Liverpool. But made a three-figure profit on the draws so not too bad. I hate doing draws but people want them.

  233. Paul O 10 years ago

Cooldude do as your name suggests and chill out m8… Don’t think Honda meant any offence lad.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

I dont need his advice. Im over 18. if you had my luck gambling the last week you would drinking stronger then beer. im close to a breakdown

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Guy tries to be helpful and you tell us you don’t need his advice but gambling has you close to a breakdown???????? From where I am sitting I think taking Honda’s free friendly advice would be helpful mate.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, the guys are right. If you’re close to a breakdown stop gambling and seek help. I hope from the feel of the site that you understand most of us are enjoying having a bet and trying to beat the bookies – we’re not doing it professionally and only for stakes we can afford to lose. Also the one thing you need in gambling more than anything is luck.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Ive found solace tonight Mr F, dont worry about me, Ill only become a burden on the site

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Its stress. every gambler gets it during losing runs :) you learn after a while how to calm

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Good then I really hope your luck changes quickly mate, I am sure it will.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

cheers raj!! im gonna get an accum in soon, those bastards Boylesports were very lucky on Sunday. But now they know im after them. They can feel my pain, my rage

  234. Bob H 10 years ago

You can always rely on Arsenal to disappoint when it really matters …there goes their league title

  235. gked 10 years ago

Mr F, well done on the treble – got 3/1 at hills.

Looking for advice too. Was on Griezmann last night – £5 on FGS (5/1)and £1 on a hatrick (33/1) both with bwin.

Despite everywhere showing the first goal as Griezmann’s, including the la liga website, bwin have kept it as an OG.

To make matters worse, it turns out they are one of the few bookies that don’t void an og so they’ve not paid out on either bet.

Waiting to hear back but do I have a claim? Rather have 60-odd quid in my hipper rather than theirs!

    Thanks

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

gked, you don’t have a claim as such because it was officially given as an OG. All you can do is ask bwin to look at the footage, tell them others have paid out and see what they do. Not many take OG first-scorer bets but some do and I know people who like to bet on that market.

  236. Ian Conway 10 years ago

    Mr F,
Good tipping tonight on the treble, changed Brentford for Reading as it was a better price, didn’t make much difference to returns, but a winner at last with my free fiver bet!

  237. gked 10 years ago

Thanks Mr F, worth a pop. Strange PA are the only ones that have it as og but dem rules are rules.

Might avoid FGS on bwin from now on.

  238. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Sparky, thats the problem, he’s not the fastest – the best heckle I heard was ” Liam, I’ve seen milk turn quicker” haha!

Can see it in the papers, worlds most football daft man goes to match even though it’s been postponed! :)

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Oh I regularly shout about milk at Easter road Greg a very popular chant for the slowest team in Britain!

What’s ur thoughts on ur semi? I watched dons on Saturday and they played very well 2nd half. Didn’t enjoy watching Rooney as reminds me just how bad collins is for us! I reckon Uve got a fighting mans chance sat but nothing more. Lot of pressure on sheep and while I reckon they will prevail wouldn’t surprise me if it took extra time for them to do so! Will u be in attendance?

    • AL 10 years ago

Not long til the weekend now Greg! How do you fancy your chances?

Ryan Jack going to be a huge loss for us! Reckon he’d have started at right back on sat as Shaugnessy is suspended & Tate just doesn’t have the pace to play there. That’s my only worry at the moment, hopefully we manage to get Hector back on loan for the rest of the season & he’ll slot in there nicely!

Guessing for you all about keeping hold of Stevie May as opposed to signing anybody. Be interesting to see how Iwelumo does if he plays, Anderson tends to struggle against big strong strikers so hopefully for us he’s on the bench!

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Greg it’s not the 1st time I’ve done it! Lol!

  239. oak 10 years ago

In the end derby with the tripple saved most of my day… but arsenal are bummers

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

oak, well summed up – right off to walk the dug.

  240. AL 10 years ago

Good night on the whole, would have been a great one had Arsenal managed a win which by all accounts they wouldn’t have deserved!

Arsenal let me down for a small stakes sixfold! Had Arsenal, Derby, QPR, Reading, Brentford & Leyton Orient. £5 returned £148

Van Persie Scoring within 20 mins seen me in profit for the night.

Had Mr F’s Draws Yankee on 3/4 yet again gives a nice profit. I feel a 4/4 coming soon!

    Top treble another winner

Away’s treble let down by Arsenal

    £10 – £1000 Challenge

Off to a good start, a FHG in the Real Mardid game & Oxford avoiding defeat seen a return of £18.08 of the initial £10

  241. Paul O 10 years ago

Cooldude I don’t know if you’re serious or just trolling here but if your close to a break down then gambling more than likely isn’t going to help you. I would suggest you get some professional help if your feeling like you do. It will do you more good than posting here.

  242. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Thanks mr f for the top treble tip. Ive been on the edge of my seat a lot the last few days!!! I also posted a winning anytime scorer treble to go with your top treble which also came in- Austin, bamford and trotta. I also took bamford as a big single stake which obviously came in. A few of my others were close but it’s not been a bad day overall.

  243. Bob H 10 years ago

9 out of 10 is brutal …those Gunners always let you down eventually …I wonder who Wenger is blaming this time? Mourinho? Fergie?

    • honda 10 years ago

He’s not blaming anyone tonight mate. I understand they let your bet down, as well as mine, but they were priced at evens for a reason. These things happen and its not as if chelsea or man city haven’t dropped points in games you thought they should win. Every team will let you down at some point. Not sure if you support them but if you do like me, that’s the worst part of the draw. Speaking from a fans perspective the way the first half ended i would have taken the point, especially with 10 men for the last 10 mins!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Honda, you all got close mate, I was 4 games away from a treble!!!!!!! beat that :)

    • honda 10 years ago

Haha I’ll call you on that Raal, 4 singles all winning at one point, ended up with 4 losses. Also a treble, again winning at one point lost as well! Onto tomorrow!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Bertie Mee for not giving the club a stronger foundation to build upon!!!

  244. Adi 10 years ago

    I know mr f, my main bets are your singles and any singles I pick myself so the 10 folds are just a bit of fun, but really pissed me off tonight!!! :-}

  245. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Sparky, Al, very much looking forward to the game on Saturday! I will indeed be there, fry up at 9am, beers by 9.30! :) We are booked into the muurayfield Sports bar! You get a ticket Al!

In terms of our chances, i don’t have a good feeling about it hence why I already have a decent single on Aberdeen at 10/11 to win! ( insurance bet). Mannus and Davisodn missing are big blows for us but we still have enough quality to win, I just don’t think we will! :(

Good stuff Greg the Roseburn bar just up from The Murrayfield is one of my regular haunts even though its a bit of a jambo haven! Ill certainly be cheering for yourselves and inverness this weekend. Be great if u both made the final. I’d let u play the match in my back garden! :)

Greg, I hear McBookie are going to enhance Aberdeen’s price so watch out for that. I like the look of the Dons but you’re usually wrong when it comes to Saints defeats. Just wondering in my head which cup game is bigger on Saturday – Clydebank v Auchinleck Talbot or Aberdeen v St Johnstone?

Evening guys looks like a good night for most tonight. Arsenal like most let me down, and Betfred limiting stakes on Liverpool 4/1 probably saved them quite a bit.

    LIVERPOOL TO WIN 4/1
    DONCASTER TO WIN 9/5
    SUAREZ TO SCORE 4/5

    :)

Raal you got me wrong mate. I did them as singles also I know how Alex method works . It was just a conversation me and Alex had last night as I like the look of them that for the first time I fancied them to come off as a acca. He said he would throw 50 p on and I said I would throw the odds on I had a tenner spare . Hence me saying gutted as we nearly got a full house. I don’t want you or anyone thinking I was criticizing him as that’s not the case . The guy tips very well it was just a thought on tonight’s tips to gp for it as acca and it nearly paiud off . Cheers mate

Mr F do you know of any bookies taking bets for next Alloa manager?

    • Sparky 10 years ago

That sounds suspiciously like I’ve been given inside information! :)

    • sidplay 10 years ago

      Is that cheating?

    • Sparky 10 years ago

Absolutely not Sid. Remember its not what u know but who u know! :) if u know the manager and can get a bet fill ur boots! :)

    • sidplay 10 years ago

Nobody seems to be doing it just fancied a bet weighted in my favour for once.

    • Sparky 10 years ago

To be honest even on big team manager markets its hard to get a decent bet on because bookies aren’t daft and are aware there’s always someone who knows. I actually highly doubt any bookie would lay a bet on the next alloa manager but if any did it would be mcbookie or scotbet I’d reckon. Best thing u can do is phone around and see if anyone will give u a price. The can only say no!

    • sidplay 10 years ago

Cheers Sparky i will leave it should be named by weekend anyway.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Sparky, I printed McBookie prices on next Alloa boss in the Record. They do most of the next boss markets in Scotland.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

sidplay, McBookie were taking bets and I printed the odds last week. Check under Scottish specials to see if they still are.
