ALL roads lead to Paraguay for me this evening and after 24 hours of babysitting my kids and their feral cousins I’ll be rocking up to Asuncion’s Estadio Manuel Ferreira ever so slightly pissed and on the hunt for goals.
Olimpia v De Ferrero (10.45pm)
Table-toppers Olimpia have opened up the gap to usual suspects Libertad and Asuncion rivals Nacional who sit in a relatively poor 4th and 3rd respectively and this title ought to be there’s to lose with only an on fire Cerro Porteno side standing in their way at the Clausara halfway point.
The hosts should have made it 7 back-to-back wins last Saturday but were inexplicably beaten by SDA away from home – their 2nd loss in 16 games and a chance for Cerro to close in.
I suspect Olimpia will want to win back that points buffer and what better team to help them on their way than “the 3rd of Feb” – a team who have conceded 3-4-0-3-3-5-1-4-2-3-3 goals against Olimpia in successive H2Hs over an 8-year spell and 7 already in 2018 alone!
Olimpia goals are too big here and while it’s never good form to discount the rationale for bookies pricing any game this is just too generous to ignore:
