COME back Iceland – all is forgiven.
HK v Breidablik (8pm)
Not a lot to forgive really and it was another great season for anyone backing goals (especially late goals) albeit with a bit less value now the interest in games is much higher.
I’m not a huge fan of putting money on the pre-season cups and usually use them as an early indicator for the main leagues and cups that will follow, but there are some match-ups do offer a bit of interest with certain teams having much more to prove than others.
This fixture certainly looks that way and I fancy it to be an interesting 90 (95+) minutes – both teams finished respective and respectable 2nd places in their divisions with Breidablik having a cracker of a campaign in The Urvalsdeild and HK doing exactly the same in 1 Deild.
Hard to think this one won’t have goals as the squads test each other out for the coming season’s H2H’s and it’s well worth bearing in mind Breidablik’s fine away form at the end of the campaign which saw them hit 12 in the last 4 league away days.
