A POOR day yesterday but a better night with Corinthians doing the honours in their 4-1 win to bring in the goals bet in Sao Paulo.
On to Sunday and there’s plenty of variety out there – problem is picking through it for the potentially better bets!
I’m going for three selections from three different countries.
FJÖLNIR W v VALUR W (4.15pm)
Could well be goals here as 1 Deild ladies side meet a top-flight Valur ladies outfit in the Cup – Fjolnir’s last 5 games have seen 4-5-6-5 .atch goals while Valur’s most recent 3 read 5-5-4.
It’s the H2Hs which have even more pull although – much like their male counterparts – Fjolnir have closed the quality gap on Valur in recent years. Scorelines of 3-0, 4-1, 5-0, 1-7 and 0-11 indicate my interest and I’d hope to see around 5 goals in this game which ties in nicely with those lovely folk at bet365 Towers' pricing.

SERRA U20 v SÃO PAULO U20 (11pm)
Sao Paulo hit 7 in their last match in the tournament winning their 9-goal cracker against Hollandia 7-2 … not too shabby!
Given lowly Serra were pumped 3-0 by Ferroviaria in their own last game there’s certainly mileage in believing another big Sao Paulo win could be on the cards.
- OVER 4 GOALS (5-6, bet365 – Betbuilder Tab)

MAN CITY v ROTHERHAM (2pm)
Looks like a fairly obvious one but there’s always the chance of a banana skin as City proved in last year’s cup getting blown out by Wigan at a similar stage – I don’t think we’ll see a repeat of that however and Rotherham are looking pretty desperate hovering 3 points above a relegation spot.
It will be a ‘weakened’ City side but really that’s a term that has to be used lightly; it’s likely they’ll still be a hell of a lot of big names in that starting XI and I can’t see anything but goals for the hosts:
- OVER 4 GOALS (Evens, bet365 – Betbuilder Tab)
