TAWREED (3.50) was given a kind introduction on debut at Yarmouth last month and will know a good bit more about the game on second start at Pontefract.
Sir Michael Stoute's filly showed a useful level of form in third behind Piranesi 17 days ago and can take care of another southern-based filly, Wondrous Words, trained by Roger Varian.
BERKSHIRE SAVVY (4.40) makes plenty of each-way appeal at around 7-1 in the 1m 4f handicap at Chester. Andrew Balding coaxed a win out of him at Windsor last month and Berkshire Savvy stepped up on that performance when third to Cepheus and Moomba in a better race at Glorious Goodwood. A wide draw isn't ideal but David Probert will no doubt tuck in on this hold-up performer and hope for some luck in running. Strait Of Hormuz and Highwaygrey should be thereabouts.
FRENCH RIVIERA (7.35) is interesting moving up to 12 furlongs at Chepstow. She split in-form Songkram and Water's Edge (both winners since) at the Welsh track over 1m 2f in July and that's a useful level of form in this company.

5.05 Chepstow is an intriguing race. Two clear favourites and lots of outsiders at big odds, many of which are unraced. I wonder how a horse can be judged as a 25-1 shot when nobody has ever seen it race? I like to take on something each way at a price. Might go for All In The Game as it is at least a month older than the other new horses and that extra bit of development could give it an edge.
