FIFTH POSITION (3.30) is a bit of value in the Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood. Roger Varian's colt remains open to more improvement, having beaten subsequent York winner Space Blues at Nottingham before running fourth to Fox Chairman at Newbury last month.

John Gosden's Private Secretary has twice collected for this column but is a skinny even-money chance on the back of victories at Redcar and Sandown. Persian Moon's third to Bangkok and Technician in the Sandown Classic Trial is the best form on offer but he disappointed slightly when third to Uae Jewel and Walkinthesand at Newmarket.

DESIROUS (2.55) was beaten a head by classy Qabala at HQ last September and Ralph Beckett's market leader, a winner at Kempton, will be hard to beat in the fillies' event.

Trinity Star was a wide-margin winner of the mile handicap on tonight's Pontefract card 12 months ago and is sure to go close. He is up in the ratings now, however, and QUOTELINE DIRECT (6.30) is another course specialist, having scored twice here on good to firm last summer. Micky Hammond's gelding should strip fitter for his recent fourth to Kripke.

    4-40 Goodwood
    Knights crusader 6-1 carries 9-6
Age of wisdom 16-1 carries 8-8.
    They met at kempton recently,
knights crusader won by a neck carrying 9-6.
    Age of wisdom carried 9-12
    An 18lb swing for a neck !!

    Anyone explain these prices ?
Of course neither could be placed but maybe worth a matchbet if available.

Age of Wisdom is simply a better horse on the AW according to official ratings and results do back that up. However Age of Wisdom is definitely an each way bet for me today in the horse’s current form.

      Jay.
My thinking also, if he can transfer aw form to turf, maybe he could beat his more fancied stablemate rydan (who carries 6lb penalty) also .

Taken age of wisdom top 4 finish at 5-2 earlier at skybet.

Anyone gone through the verification process with Racebets?

It’s never ending do one thing then they want something else then do that and they are asking for utilities bills etc.
It seems that if you don’t dance to their tune you can’t withdraw!!!

I gave up and shut the account never had such a fuss from any other gambling site…

Plenty more fish in the sea !!!

    • shortee 5 years ago

Agree spurs55. Opened an account with them and with bet UK
Never again. Deleted and don’t use again. Unless it’s one of the big 4 I won’t bother as they are SO FAR BEHIND. yes a few good offers but that’s about it and in terms of coverage and other markets just terrible and limited. Same as all these casino sites that appear etc – pure crap. Stick to known names and reputable sites and even at that it’s still a struggle. For me 365 are getting worse and making all these unnecessary app updates which effectively make it worse plus they are tighten their belt on lots of prices etc
