Saturday's are often very hard to make a profit as the racing is ultra-competitive, so it was nice to come away with three winners and a placed effort yesterday. Saturday's have been bad to me for the most part, and I've avoided putting up a lot of selections in recent times, but yesterday paid off. Hopefully, some of you got on.
Naas 4:00
There's some very good racing in France, with a few Group races including a Group 1 for the 2yo's. I'd love to have a bet in that race, but I just can't weigh up which has the best form. I love Persian Force, but the way he got demolished last time around by Little Big Bear was a big wake-up check and he might not be as good as what I thought he was originally. For my only bet of the day I've gone to Naas for their main race of the day. This is a 6f Group 3 for Fillies and Mares. There are plenty of horses who have a chance in this and it's quite hard to dissect what form is better than others, so I've gone for a horse who will either travel nicely into the race and win on the line, or be tailed off out of the back of the picture. However, with that risk comes a decent price, and I'm willing to take that chance on TERESA MENDOZA.
She is a horse who has the ability and is capable of winning a Class 1 race like she showed when winning a Listed race at the Curragh a few weeks ago. That win was a complete shock to me, and a shock to many, other than connections as she was hammered off the boards and backed into 4/1, after being available at huge bigger odds the night before and the morning of the race. She travelled through that like a complete menace and stayed on well to get the lead in the final furlong. A strong pace is what this filly needs as she will always be held up from off the pace, if she doesn't get it then she won't have a chance of winning, but at the odds, I think she is worth chancing.
When winning at the Curragh, she beat Pirate Jenny who has won since and is half the odds of Teresa Mendoza in this race today. The form of that race has worked out quite nicely with the runner-up winning a handicap at the Curragh off a mark in the low 100s. Power Under Me was third in that race, and he was a very good sprinter last year, so that's a good yardstick of what she beat that day.

Looking more into it Petulante is a son of the mighty Arrogate and anything from that site that’s won on debut by 11l + really looks good but best priced 10/11 with Bet365 ain’t great and has drifted but if you fancy a sino think it’s a great price but slightly concerned about the drift?
Defended runs first so if it fails at 8/15 I’ll probably put £200 on Petulante !?

Thought it was the same horse but not in my tracker and it certainly doesn’t say he dead heated last run or elsewhere bar ATR that I’ve just clocked.
It’s Crystal Cliffs at Woodbine RACE 9 and the dead heat was in a G2 with Lady Speightsoeare and 2/1 looks very decent!
At the price I’ll wait for now.
Wouldn’t put anyone off as I can’t see 2/1 lasting !
