Though I had two winners on Saturday, a lot of it was taken away from the number of non-runners there were in those races, making the Rule 4 a very big hindrance for the returns. However, a profit is a profit and I can't moan too much. Sunday's racing is decent, with some very good action over in France, but if that's not your bag then York has a good card including a listed race for sprinters.

Longchamp 2:48

If the ground was testing then I think The Revenant would be the play in this race, but with the ground described as good to soft the night before and no forecast rain and temperatures in the mid to high 20s, I think COROEBUS is the one to be on.

Unfortunately, the bookmakers have priced him up as favourite, which is a tad bit surprising as he was quite disappointing last time out and you have The Revenant who is arriving with two wins in a row and is a very solid horse. Despite the fact he is favourite, I will still be backing him and I think he could get quite a bit shorter than his current price of 7/4. I think his run last time out was too bad to be true, even though I don't think he is a top-tier horse in comparison to previous 3yo's of recent seasons who have looked much more impressive. However, he is still a dual Group 1 winner and I don't think this race is that strong on paper. The Revenant is going to be better on softer ground, so can be avoided. Dreamloper probably isn't as good as what people think, even though she is a Group 1 winner. Order Of Australia is a solid horse who is consistent and will run well in races like this, but it would be a shame if he was to bag this. I think Lusail could be the danger to Coroebus having pushed him close at Royal Ascot where he finished runner-up to him.

Hopefully, the ground doesn't get too quick as Charlie Appleby has been quoted saying “it was too quick for him” at Deauville last time out when finishing fifth behind Inspiral. Personally, I don't think you can blame the ground as he beat convincingly, and he won the 2000 Guineas on good ground and the St James' Palace on good to firm, but he's the best trainer in the world and he knows best so I'll take his word for it🤣

      Looks good Elvis,best o luck!
I’m not touching that 3.33pm race bar a wee combination tricast 🤔

      Lovely darts yesterday! 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🐎 ⚽️
Olympiad and Hong Kong Harry in the USA being best of it BUT Flightline was brilliant over his first trip at 1m 1/4 and IF only Baeed would go to the Breeders Cup or just not retire , it busts my head with UK flat racing!!??

      Well done the the winners!

Trixie without going to much in depth with studying as technically I’ve already done it as has Rizzle and Elvis. Surprisingly unaffected by my drinking to much fizzy soda yesterday but staring at words on a screen doesn’t feel like the way ahead.

      🇫🇷 Bolshkinov…12.15. 9/4
      🇬🇧 Pink Crystal…2.20. 9/2
      🇫🇷 Corebus…2.48. 13/8

Wee combo Tricast 6-4-7 in the 3.33pm at Páris Longchamp 🫡

Hi Elvis .Like I said if this what others want fair enough but in the main i dont think it is anyone can see how this thread has died off since all this overseas stuff started, just looked back seems to be just same 3 or 4 people posting about 15 comments a day or someone talking to themselves all time .

Not being awkward but it is pretty obvious why what is a great set up here is dying off .When people were just putting up there 3 or 4 bets a day no ridiculas bookie bets just win or e/w the thread flourished and to me its a shame that has gone..

not wanting argument just my opinion

      Good luck

      Sore point
Some good points there and probably good reasons for the fall in numbers posting.
Personally I got bored rigid with the UK racing a while back, endless all weather meetings all year round, up to 8 meetings all told some days with mainly unreliable class 4-6 horses fiddling the handicap system, too many races to get your head round and do my picks justice.
I like the French racing as there are generally no more than 2 meetings in a day and after a while you get to know the horses better than if there was 7 or 8 meetings a day.

I still love a day out at the races, can’t beat it, better than footy and better value for £20-25 quid, on those days I just block out the other 6 meetings and concentrate on the 1 that I’m attending
maybe come the jumps season, I’ll pick one meeting out a day and ignore the rest of the rubbish racing.

I do agree 100% that people should attach NAP/NB etc and maybe a little reasoning so we can get a handle on their strongest picks and not just posting an array of random picks.

Gateacre Pete specialises in long shots which I know you don’t like but he generally drops some brief reasoning which shows he hasn’t just picked out one by throwing a dart at the racecard 😆

      Anyway off shopping now ☹️
Good luck today and don’t leave it so long before contributing again 🏇

Awe Corebus… you don’t see that much on the flats?
I think he just hit a duff bit of ground when asked and starting to pick up?
      Just unlucky!

Got to go where the racings good I say and as you say Elvis that 4 -6 handicap muck ain’t for me and I know stateside during the week can be much the same but with Breeders Cup on its way much like the Arc and France you’ve had a few G1s and G2 and 3s from Wednesday right through till tomorrow (more USA) in various places and personally if you look it’s been pretty profitable for me.
I can’t post everything as I back some far to close to the off so I really try not too at all.

For example last nights 2x singles and a double were up well in hand, won and with the likes of Flightline that’s probably top 5 of the best horses in the world running (not for betting though) you imo you can’t grumble the standard, yesterday too in the in UK was certainly good.

Sore Point you make a good point but with Elvis on the each there and your certainty a man for that. 👍

Regarding numbers dropping of I hope it’s not due to anyones displeasure or ego on a free betting site but mainly due to the time of year with jumps poor and flats all over the place.

Rizzle has posted one tip several times and it’s worked out splendid at a price or not but even I feel whether he’s winning or not he would rather just take a day off midweek with some of the crud served up but again it depends were your betting.

Rizzle you asked about my information bar my tracker and obvious sites for the USA have you checked Equibase App and Is ‘The Breeders Cup’ with a lot of French an UK raiders amongst others something you would be prepared to put tips up for ot at least just thoughts?

As always best of luck folk n I’ll be back with some US of A stuff asap for use to scroll on by! 😉 👍

Elvis Just my point so when like you say this poor racing is on dont bet and certainly dont tip

How can you possibly follow people who put up 15 to 20 tips a day just for the sake of it,

Surely a tip is something you really like and that is what followers want no harm in betting everyday within your limits but tipping 15 to horses a day come on !!!

      Good luck

Earl get a grip man it was pretty obvious one of his front legs went ‘broke’ causing him a fatal fall probably coming through to win the race.
Horse racing at its saddest today with HDB boy and now a top horse dieing like that certainly not a time for smart arse comments or jokes.

Nasty fall that, hate to see that and will always be the downfall to this sport.

Rare to see it on the flat which is why I prefer the flat to the jumps.

Fatal Elvis from watching it live you could see his front leg going causing him to crumple to the ground at that speed it wasn’t nice.

    • Avatar of Recoba
      recoba 2 years ago

Seen it live and looking back I should have thought ,that might be really nasty?
      So sad that it was!

Canadian looks a bust bar my money back IF last 2 win and better if Franks Art wins at least but 3x seconds and a duffer so far. Typically w bad day all round after a good one.

Just watching Sky there and a mention fir a horse I didn’t know was back, surprised he’s not been so far?
IF good to go 5/2 will do me fine.
