3.30 Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle

The Stayers’ Hurdle – formerly known as the World Hurdle – has been the feature at the Cheltenham Festival since 2005 and was first run in 1912. It's run over three miles on the New Course at Cheltenham.
THIS race represents the banker of the week for many punters and I have to admit that the case is very obvious and compelling.
PAISLEY PARK has absolutely rock solid form in staying hurdles and won here last year. Most of you won’t need me to make the case for him.
I can’t find anything appealing as an each way alternative at an attractive price. It’s not fancy or clever but Paisley Park is the win bet for me.
For those looking for a massive price you could do worse than Tobefair at 50/1 who stays longer than the mother-in-law and is more consistent than most of these characters.

PAISLEY PARK (3.30) was another fairytale winner last year and once again the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle seems at his mercy.
He will be included in thousands of accumulators but for those punters scrambling for a bet at bigger odds then City Island, last year’s Ballymore winner, can be supported without the favourite or ew.
He reverts to hurdles after couple of disappointing efforts over fences.
One other Irish challenger to consider is Ronald Pump. He finished second in the Pertemps Network qualifier at Leopardstown, conceding more than two stones to the winner, and the clock-watchers were salivating with his time, far superior to Apple Jade’s Grade One sectionals through the final circuit on the same card.

I am sure most people will be hoping Paisley Park wins this tomorrow, as he will be in a lot of peoples Ante Post accumulators, or on the day accumulators.
At the odds of 4/6 I think he’s worth taking on, and the one I like the look of is CITY ISLAND.
Paisley Park has dispatched nearly every horse he opposes tomorrow, and that’s why I think it’s worth a punt on something he’s not beat before.
Martin Brassil’s 7yo goes back over hurdles after a brief spell over fences, which definitely didn’t go to plan. From his two runs over fences, he was pulled up when 13/8 favourite, and he finished second to Carefully Selected.
Prior to these unsatisfactory runs over fences he won the Ballymore Novice last year, beating Champ.
That form has been boosted massively as Champ won the RSA today when jumping like a snooker table.
If Champ stayed over hurdles this season, he would definitely be the main threat to Paisley Park, so the fact that City Island beat him says it all.
He will have to prove he stays this far, but I’m confident he does, and the recent Wind Surgery will do him no harm either.
