Cairnzy’s Racing Tips: Dixie Flyer Looks a Nice Bet at Cork

It was nice to jump on at the weekend and land 2 selections out of 3.

I managed to tip up Rocchigiani to win betting without favourite at 9/2 and my write up was pretty much bang on the money. Tom Marquand raced up with the pace and stayed on beautifully to land the spoils against the 3 market leaders.

I also tipped up Raasel to place which I thought was free money and indeed it was. A top notch sprinter, that one is consistent in hitting the frame anytime he runs and is one I’ll definitely be looking at next time out.

I planned on jumping on the thread on Sunday but never had enough time to do a proper study so here I am jumping on today.

Cork 3:00 – Dixie Flyer (TO PLACE) 7/4

The Henry De Bromhead trained Dixie Flyer really caught my eye in this particular race. I don’t quite think he’s got the quality to win against the 2 market leaders Golf Martin and Little Big Rocky but I definitely think he’s got the next best form in the book against the rest of field to at least take a place in this race.

I thought Dixie Flyer's form was over priced at 17/2. You can get Dixie Flyer to place at 7/4 which I thought was definitely value for money, especially with most of the rest of the field having questions marks on their heads.

The form of Dixie Flyer's previous 3rd place finish looks strong enough in my opinion with the winner that day Darlington trained by Gordon Elliot went on to win again at Taunton and the 2nd placed went on to win at Tipperary and also finish 3rd in a tight race at Sligo.

Rachael Blackmore is booked for the ride on Dixie Flyer tomorrow which is a positive in itself and I think 7/4 is good value for money to place in this race.
