ALAN runs the rule over Thursday's Musselburgh meeting and fancies Canstancio to get us off to a flier.
Musselburgh 1.35
CONSTANCIO appears in a different league to his rivals and should have little difficulty mopping up the opener at Musselburgh on Thursday. The Elite Racing Club gelding is thriving on this good ground and powered seven lengths clear of Groveman at Doncaster last month. His earlier second to Doctor Dex at Wetherby is another solid piece of form.
Musselburgh 2.10
SAMTU made all to score over course and distance earlier this month and can again dominate his rivals under top weight in the handicap chase.
Musselburgh 2.45
MONSIEUR CO has put a disappointing debut for Keith Dalgleish well behind him, scoring over course and distance in December and more recently edging out Some Reign at Kelso. He is another right at home on a sound surface.
Musselburgh 3.20
SKY KHAN split the Warren Greatrex-trained Mahlervous and Ted Veale at Kelso over 2m 4f but will be better suited by this longer trip. Ballynanty scored over course and distance in early January and Nick Alexander’s horses continue to fire.

OLD SALT won an average contest here earlier this month and that should have done his confidence a power of good.
