MONDAYS as most of you know by now is all about reserve football for me with my main focus on the Scottish and English Development matches as well as the trusted Belgian Reserve games.
Some cracking games to pick from and there are three that really take my fancy.
Crystal Palace u23 vs Queens Park Rangers u23 (1pm)
Was on QPR last week for goals and they didn't disappoint as they went down 3-6 at home to Charlton. Nobody has seen more goals this season Then QPR – 91 goals from just 21 matches is an incredible return (over 4 goals a game on avg) and key pointer here is they concede and score which bodes well for their short trip to Crystal play Palace.
Palace are no stranger to goals – 8 of their last 9 have seen both sides score and with 6 of their last 9 going over 3.5 goals, they should manage a few more today against a Shambolic QPR defence (2nd worst in he league despite being 4th in the table)
QPR more than capable of scoring though – would be amazed if they didn't conceded at least two (conceded 2 or more in 16 of their last 19 away games ) against a side who are strong at and that bodes well for this seeing at least 4 goals
Recommended Bet
- Over 3.5 match goals
- 1/1 (Bet365) (NAP)
St Johnstone Reserves vs Rangers Reserves (1pm)
The visitors lead the way in the Development league and travel to Perth to play a struggling St Johnstone side who are 16 places below them in the league – team news will be crucial but expecting Rangers to play a number of first team players like they did last week.
Saints have shipped 9 goals in their last two games and with the league leaders coming into this off the back of a 5-0 thumping of Morton last week, string chance of goals again today
Recommended Bet
- Over 3.5 match goals
- 4/5 (Bet365)
Kortrijk Reserves vs KV Oostende (7pm)
Not sure what else to say about Kortrijk, they are a modern day Parnu and yet again last week delivered the goods with a 3-3 draw. A typical score for them, score loads concede loads
Kortrijk's last 9 games have all seen both team score and that's a common theme in their matches. They have only managed 4 clean sheets in their last 59 matches so there's a chance Oostende will find the net
The visitors struggle on the road winning just 2 of their last 17 away matches half of which saw them conceded at least three goals.
its a terrific head to head viewing for these two – the last 9 meeting have all seen both sides score and over 2.5 goals (1-2 2-2 2-3 2-1 5-1 1-2 3-3 4-1 5-1) yielding 42 goals
When you look back over the last 12-18 months Kortrijk's percentage of games seeing over 3.5 goals and BTTS is around 80 per cent More of the same today
Recommended Bet
- Over 3.5 match goals
- 5/6 (Bet365)
Could easily have posted another 4 or 5 games but sticking to these and will be on all Belgian games over 2.5 goals (10/1) and the Premier League Cup over 2.5 goals (9/1).
This is good job you are doing…. Appreciating for the sake.
You have quoted prices yet not one of these prices available, not even on the betbuilder.
macca – Palace game definitely is … in bet builder – under Total Goals .. Evens for Over 3 …
Cheers wc. it wasn’t available an hour ago Skybet have prices they are quicker than b365
Palace game was available last night mate
And based on the odds on the bet builder For 4+ goals I was spot on with the price for the St Johnstone match ?
The Belgian game will be around 5/6
Have a little faith mate – I’m not pulling prices out of thin air, haha
Not saying you was mate, there was no palace prices last night as i checked, there were none this morning neither, there is now though.
Best of luck
Cheers macca – you too fella
Greg you reckon your reserves have a chance of winning or is a Rangers win on the cards. Considering Rangers & BTTS @5/4 with Celtic – 1 @10/11 and the double pays 10/3
Really depends who we put out, I’ve seen us go with literally a team made up exclusively of 1st team players then the following week just the Young ones – Rangers are top of the Legaue and will likely play some 1st team players
Thanks Greg. I’m all over these reserve games like a rash! One of my fave days for betting! Far less chance of the dreaded 0-0 dud game unlike the bigger boys.
No worries mate – fingers crossed ??
celtic game will see serious goals, Bayo is playing.
Who’s he, never heard of him ?
Yeah should be a few mate
Bell, Easton, Swanson,O’Halloran in the Saints team
With the exception of McKenzie it’s a 1st team starting 11 – very strong line up
Expexting them to be equally as strong with Lafferrty starting
Hi Greg!
Do you have a good site for SPL develomment an english U23?
This one will do. Don’t put up links to other tipping sites without permission.
I was not aware of this rule..I won’t be doing this anymore in that case..
Thank you. We have no reason to promote that site.
