THE par 72 Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi hosts the Sanderson Farms for the third year in a row.
Last season in his first full year on the Tour Patton Kizzire started with a T2 at the Shriners and followed that up with a T4 at the Sanderson Farms.
This year he started with a 2nd at what is now the Safeway Open and rolls up for the Sanderson Farms in good spirits. His driving accuracy is not great by any standard but seems to be able to handle it and has a great greens in regulation stat. Although his driving accuracy is down at 41.07% his GIR is a superb 75% and he is second in strokes gained:putting with 2.427.
While watching the Safeway Open I have to say I liked the look of first-year rookie Cody Gribble. The 26-year-old American had a bogey-free first round of 67 before finishing T8.
He was one of 14 rookies to make the cut but the only one to finish in the top 10. He finished 40th in the Web.com Tour list, securing his 2016-17 PGA Tour card. His stats on the Web.com were excellent with driving accuracy of 62.87%, GIR 69.72% and putting average of 1.773 and if he continues in that vein he could be a surprise package here.

Hideki Matsuyama did us proud in the WGC-HSBC Champions this morning, winning by a massive seven shots. Hopefully Cody Gribble will do the business as well as he is only one off the lead after three rounds. Mcwinas3 your top twenty finish for Gribble looks really strong and hope he can emulate Matsuyama.
Apart from Cody Gribble I might have a small wager on Lucas Glover today. He has only had two bogeys in his three rounds and at best price 13-2 (Betway)
