MRF TopTips Generic Salah

IT should be eight but we're left with six Europa League games tonight.

The matches between Sevilla vs Roma and Inter vs Getafe have been postponed and others last-16 ties including Olympiakos vs Wolves and LASK vs Man United will be staged behind closed doors.

Rangers vs Bayer Leverkusen will play out at a packed Ibrox but it might be one of the last games to have a huge crowd as measures increase to control the spread of the disease.

I've posted a Europa League preview with reasoning for Bayer to win at Rangers but not adding anything else with points as there is so much doubt about how games will go behind closed doors. A possible treble is both to score at Eintracht and Bayer and LASK not to lose at 4-1.

Last night I was incredibly unlucky with my two trebles although it has to be said both could have been covered or cashed out.

I needed one more goal at PSG vs Dortmund for the first treble and the other was let down by Liverpool to qualify. That looked good when they led 2-0 in extra time but they collapsed with Adrian's blunder for the first being crucial.

Well done to all the winners on Wednesday including Scott with another members bet success.

    Thursday tips
Same as last night for the 2 main bets focus is on 1 match rangers v Bayer. Rangers can only lift themselves for Europe and Celtic but really can’t see past the Germans here. The last round rangers managed an excellent win v braga but let’s be honest every goal they scored in the home game had a huge element of luck and for me that luck runs out tonight.

Waiting on team news for the other matches, gotta fancy Frankfurt at home to Basel if the go strong and also interested to see the Man U line up. With a crucial tie against spurs on Sunday for the race for the top 4 I can’t see them being at full strength which should help LASK balance out the fact it’s behind closed doors. With martial a doubt for Sunday it looks pretty certain he won’t play tonight and my worry for LASK would’ve been if they went 3 at the back and were up against the pace of James and martial. If the likes of mata and lingard play then LASK should handle that comfortably.

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 5 years ago

All teams will go strong tonight bit daft to suggest otherwise,i don’t think Man Utd playing Spurs Sunday will have any bearing on who plays tonight as this could be their route into the Champions League.

    • Avatar of Sean Campbell

id Be very surprised if they went full strength tonight. They have 2 chances to take care of LASK. Be a lot asking the same 11 to play Man City LASK and spurs in a week. Spurs are a shambles United know beat them and they end their hopes of top 4 while boosting theirs.

    • Avatar of paul newton

United won’t go full strength tonight.
Solskjaer will be thinking of keeping it tight and getting a result to finish them off in the second leg with Spurs in mind for Sunday.

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 5 years ago

All teams will go strong, you don’t play a second string at this stage of a European competition,United can’t afford to take any chances and their squad isn’t good enough to be playing a second stringside especially when it could be their only way into the Champions League.

    • Avatar of paul newton

Brugge away played Romero in net, Dalot, Perreira, Mata and Lingard. That’s 5 players who wouldn’t start other than injuries.
Martial out so there’s one for starters.
He’ll play our strongest back four with the only question being Wan Bassaka or Williams at left back.

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 5 years ago

I wasn’t just referring to your comment newts,it’s knockout competition and it’s getting to the latter stages,it’s a big gamble from Solskjaer to play anything but a strong side.If United were to lose 0-3 because he played a weakened team he’s going to look a right t*t isn’t he as top four is highly unlikely.

    • Avatar of paul newton
      newts68 5 years ago

And to say give your head a wobble by comparing Uniteds fixture to Rangers is nonsense.
Rangers are playing far superior opposition at home and have no choice but to go strong and they ain’t winning the league whereas United don’t have to go full strength against weaker opposition with a home leg to come and Champions League qualification a distinct possibility

    Fairly straightforward today.
    1 acca and 1 single.

    Frankfurt win.
Home advantage plus fans will be there to provide a raucous atmosphere.

    United win.
Seriously improved of late and on form. Watched Lask linz after Sean highlighted them but watched them struggle against a wounded Salzburg. Plus mo fans.

    Wolves DC.
No fans which removes home bias. Wolves set up well to expose Olympiakos attacking game. Wolves better than us (Arsenal) and we took 3 points there. May take wolves straight win as a single also.

    Leverkusen DC
Simply the far better team but as we know Rangers are really unpredictable and can raise their game hence why only taking the DC.

    5.13/1 marathon bet. 2 points.
    💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

    Leverkusen DC and under 3.5

Leverkusen play possession based football which leads to goals when teams attack them, they will be happy to sit back and so to will Rangers I think as surely the tie will be over if Rangers try to match Leverkusens game. My feeling is that rangers will take a low scoring draw and try and nick an away goal in the away leg.

    5/6. B365. 5points.

Hearts to finish bottom of the league, 9/2 (skybet)
Can’t believe the price on offer after last night, Hearts are currently 4 adrift of nearest team Hamilton with only 8 games left to play. 6 of Hearts last 8 games are against teams in the lower half of the league due to the split but I actually think this works against them. Hearts have only won 4 games all season, however only 1 of these has come against teams in the bottom 6. They have taken only 9 points from 13 games against teams currently in the bottom 6.
Due to the nature of the split the teams round about them are all playing each other and so the other relegation contenders are going to pick up points.
Furthermore Hearts are away to Livingston at the weekend who have a very strong home record, while Ross County play St Mirren.

    • Avatar of Sean Campbell

looks a great shout. every week you think this is the week when hearts start turning it around and move up the table, and every week they fail to do so, and that’s been since the winter break. even their great win against hibs counted for little as Hamilton beat rangers.

As I expected Man Utd don’t go with their first choice XI, I’m backing LASK to get something from this game. This is the biggest match of these players lives and crowd or not they will be giving their all against what is a half and half united side. Not sure they can do enough to win but I’m going to chance a small stake on it anyway as the have such a good home record in the EL, but they are certainly good enough to get a draw.

They can whip up a vaccine in hours. but you have to test for safety on larger and larger sample groups and you can’t speed up the time that takes. You have to start testing on a tiny number of people and expand from there. Several months and hundreds of people down the line it might seem fine, but then you realise 1/1000 people who get the vaccine die, and then you have to start all over again.

    Couple of bets are
    Leverkusen dc
    Leverkusen o1.5 tgs
    5/4 hills NAP ✅✅
    WON
    Leverkusen win
    23/20 hills NB✅
    WON

NAP and NB go as expected at ibrox, no joy with the smaller stake efforts in Austria were LASK didn’t turn up and took a hammering. Well done all winners.

Leverkusen played in second, third, gear the first half, were playing with rangers. Once Leverkusen had to use there bench it was always going to be game over.

Well done winners today, seems a fair few.

As Janet krankie has said no gatherings of over 500 are allowed I take it all Scottish games attendances will be 499 from now on ?

Watching the lask game today reminded me of the last time I watched a man city home game, less people same atmosphere 😀.

Be no footy left soon judging by flash score today, loads of postponed games, bloody virus 😷😷😷

Mikel Arteta has Corona Virus. Premiership will surely get cancelled tomorrow. At least for a couple of weeks. Would be madness to continue at this point

just in fae ibrox………….. was a busy day at work so a nae bet day as nae chance tae get a look………….

leverkusen a class above tonite from what we’ve played so far, we was well beat on the nite………

my only issue is stevie g and the backroom staff standing about on the sidelines looking clueless as to what to do to counter it………….. plus we couldn’t plan to score up an empty close door……………. vv poor upfront again

    WD all with a winner…………….
