Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on Serie A. I’ve picked two selections from Italy which gives us a nice odds against double.
Sampdoria vs Hellas Verona
?? Serie A
⏰ Saturday 27th November, 14:00
Hellas Verona make the trip to Genoa as they take on Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The visitors come into this in 9th, just three points off Roma in 5th, whereas Sampdoria are in 16th and only three points above the relegation zone.
Sampdoria ended a run of three straight defeats last time out as they defeated fellow strugglers Salernitana 0-2 away from home. That was Sampdoria’s first clean sheet in nine matches and only their third this season, but they are still to keep one at Marassi. Sampdoria have one of the leakiest defences in Serie A, conceding 25 goals in 13 matches, with 16 of them coming at home. Sampdoria do usually find the net though, especially at home with only the top two Napoli and AC Milan shutting them out. I Blucerchiati have scored in each of their last four Serie A matches at home, scoring seven times.
Hellas Verona scored a stoppage winner last time out at home to Empoli to make it five wins on the bounce at the Bentegodi. Only both Milan clubs have scored more than Verona this season, with them scoring 27 goals from their opening 13 Serie A encounters. Hellas have scored in each of their last fixtures and have only failed to score once in Serie A this season. Despite their impressive season so far, Hellas have struggled defensively, keeping only one clean sheet at home to lowly Spezia. Verona have conceded 22 goals already this term, with half of them coming in their six away matches.
Venezia vs Inter Milan
?? Serie A
⏰ Saturday 27th November, 19:45
Champions Inter Milan travel to Venice as they take on newly promoted Venezia at the Stadio Pierluigi Penza. The visitors are currently in 3rd spot, just four points off the top. The hosts meanwhile sit in 14th, six points above the relegation zone.
Venezia backed up their victory over Roma as they won away to Bologna to make it back to back wins for the first time this season. Venezia have been inconsistent at home this season, defeating both Roma and Fiorentina but losing against struggling Salernitana and Spezia. Venezia are one of the lowest scorers in Serie A, with only bottom placed Salernitana scoring fewer than their tally of 12. They have also only kept three clean sheets in their 13 Serie A tussles, conceding on 19 occasions.
It’s been a terrific week for the Nerazzurri, with them being the first team to defeat Napoli in Serie A this season to reduce the gap to four points at the top, before sealing their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk. Inter have been superb against sides outside the European places, winning seven of their eight matches against sides outside the top seven. Inter are the leagues top scorers with 32 and along with rivals AC, have scored in every match in Serie A so far this season.
Bet of the Day
Hellas Verona travel to the Marassi full of confidence having lost just one of their 10 Serie A matches. Only the two Milan clubs have scored more than them in Serie A this season but they struggle to keep the door shut at the other end, recording just a solitary clean sheet. They are also yet to win on their travels this season and come up against a Sampdoria side that claimed an important three points last time out. Only the top two have stopped Sampdoria from scoring at home this season. There should be goals here and I fancy both sides to score. Inter reduced the gap to four at the top and sealed their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League in the last week so will be full of confidence here. Simone Inzaghi’s side have an outstanding record against sides outside the top seven and I fancy them to be too strong for a Venezia side that have been on a decent recent run but who struggle to score goals.
- Sampdoria vs Hellas Verona – Both Teams to Score
- Inter Milan to win
- Double Pays 5/4 (SBK)
Hoffenheim 3/5 away at bottom of the league Greuther Furth, hoffenheim have a chance to collect 3 much needed points against a team that has only collected 1 point from 12 games and have -25 goal difference ,
Tranmere or tie 2/7 at home against Stevenage who are 11 places lower in league at 21st, tranmere who has one of the best home form in league 2 against Stevenage who have one of the worst only 5 points from 9 away days ,
Together they combine around 21/20 which is very decent, thank you
Greuther Fürth have been shocking this season but Hoffenheim have a poor away record and I can’t trust them on the road. As for the Tranmere v Stevenage game, that’s postponed.
Ye tranmere got called off this morning/afternoon after a roof of there main stand had been blow off, Hoffenheim done the job anyway , ur review is confusing Greg u got sampdoria v inter in the first game then Venezia v inter in the second
My mistake, just changed it there. It’s pretty clear what game I was talking about in the preview, shouldn’t be confusing at all.
Sampdoria vs Hellas Verona – Both Teams to Score ✅ (3-1)
Inter Milan to win ✅ (0-2)
Double Pays 5/4 ✅✅
Only a little bit confusing as I never red the whole description at first but when I did read it made sense but very good tips there
Thanks mate, well done with the Hoffenheim pick. ??
