Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take a trip to the Korean top flight, and I’ve highlighted one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

4th-placed Gangwon will look to keep the pressure on the sides above them in the K League 1 table as they travel to the Seoul World Cup Stadium tomorrow morning to take on mid-table Seoul in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Kim Gi-dong’s hosts have scored 26 goals across their opening 18 K League 1 fixtures this term, with 16 (62%) of them coming on home soil.
Only the league leaders Ulsan have prevented Seoul from scoring in front of their supporters across their last eight league outings – with the capital club notching on multiple occasions in five (63%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again at home against a Gangwon defence that has kept just two clean sheets in the league this season, with none of those coming on their travels.
Gamgwon are the second-highest scorers in the Korean top flight, slamming in 34 goals across their opening 18 matches, with 12 (35%) of them coming on their travels.
Yoon Jong-hwan’s visitors have failed to score just twice in the league this season – scoring two or more goals on 12 (67%) occasions – and will be confident of getting on the scoresheet once again against a Seoul defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet and conceded 13 goals across their previous seven league outings on home turf.

Gangwon’s opening 18 K League 1 fixtures this campaign are averaging a league-high 3.56 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 12 of their previous 14 – and given the same has landed in six of FC Seoul’s last seven league outings on home soil and nine of their previous 12 at all venues – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes in this one tomorrow morning.
