Saturdays Football Bet of the Day sees me tackle the opening game of the Euros today followed by a fixture in the Belarusian domestic league.
Hungary vs France
🇪🇺 Euro 2020
⏰ Saturday 19th June, 14:00
World champions France travel to Budapest to face Hungary at the Puskás Aréna. Both sides started with contrasting results as France began with a win whereas Hungary started off with a defeat.
Hungary put in a spirited display against Portugal but ended up up losing conceding 3 late goals. Hungary actually scored a goal but it was rightfully disallowed for offside. Hungary tried to frustrate Portugal and I can see them deploying the same tactic here.
France started off their campaign perfectly with a 0-1 win over old foes Germany in Munich. France had many opportunities to stretch their lead but didn’t take them. France looked solid defensively and controlled midfield as well as looking threatening in attack. France don’t concede many and should keep yet another clean sheet here. France don’t tend to score too many goals either but should have enough quality to win.
Gomel vs Isloch
🇧🇾 Vysheyshaya Liga
⏰ Saturday 19th June, 14:45
Isloch travel to Gomel on Saturday afternoon. Gomel currently sit in fifth position and only 3 points of third whereas Isloch currently sit mid table in 11th.
A huge reason why Gomel are as high in the table is due to their excellent home form. Gomel have won 4 of their 5 home games scoring 14 goals and conceding only twice. In their last home game, they thumped sixth placed Minsk 5-0. Gomel have scored in all 5 home games scoring 2+ in 4 of them. They’ve also kept a clean sheet in 3 of them.
Isloch come into this winless in their last 5 losing 3 of those. Isloch have collected 14 points so far this term however 12 of them were against sides below them in the table. In fact Isloch have lost 5 of their 6 games against top half sides scoring only 3 goals and conceding 13.
Bet of the Day
France should be too good for the Hungarians, even in their own stadium, however I don’t seem running riot. Gomel look to keep up their impressive home form and collect another 3 points and climb the table.
- France to win & under 4.5 goals
- Gomel to win
- Double Pays 1.31/1 (Betway)
